ALICANTO
fontanaarte > Floor lamp
Its name comes from Chilean mythology, Alicanto, a nocturnal bird that is said to live in the Atacama Desert and has the peculiarity of feeding exclusively on gold and silver. According to the fable, its feeding makes it unable to fly but makes its wings glow with golden reflections. The miners, seeing its light in the dark, would follow it and thus find gold. It was therefore the image of this bird capable of lighting up the night, about to take flight but firmly set on the ground, that suggested the inspiration when it came to finding a name for a new lamp characterized by a slight forward imbalance: its arched shape is all projected to carry the light, almost as if to «extend» it, as far as possible. An elegant and sophisticated fitting, Alicanto is a contemporary lamp, solid and light, with an innovative design that is capable of adapting to cutting edge furnishings without departing from the FontanaArte philosophy, in balance between art and industry, suspended between clarity and durability. Alicanto is a floor and wall lamp; the latter version is available in two sizes. The product can also be supplied Casambi / Dali ready.
Funiculí
marset > Table lamp
The Funiculí is one Marset’s most emblematic lamps. Its design has been around a long time, and yet its style remains current and functional. Its light can be direct or indirect, and the height of the light can be adjusted with a set of clips.Heir to the first Funiculí, we offer a version with a fabric shade, a design that Lluís Porqueras first conceived in 1979 but that is only now seeing the light of day. Respecting the initial design to the fullest, only its proportions have been updated. In the fabric version, the cloth on the shade unlocks the light, allowing it to filter through and better illuminate the space. It shares the same structure as the original, so you can easily adjust the lamp to your desired height. The essence of both lamps continues to be their simplicity, but this design is chic and classical, perhaps even more sophisticated than the original. This collection comes in floor, table and wall versions and two colours, beige or white, with the black structure.

Elipse
marset > Floor lamp
Elipse proposes a change in plane: illumination from the bottom up in this new floor lamp for outdoor spaces by Josep Lluís Xuclà.Embracing simplicity, its design consists of an aluminium tube with two openings that allow the light to be projected from the top and to escape from the bottom. The opening at the top features an irregular shape, an aesthetic detail visible when the lamp is off and greatly enhanced when it is on, as a perfect ellipse is traced on the lamp itself, standing out in the darkness. The interior of the tube is white and, when illuminated, the light grows and comes alive, as the lamp itself almost seems to disappear, and only the light remains. Meanwhile, at the bottom the light escapes, and the base that supports functions as a reflective screen, such that the light seems to float. In expansive outside settings this lamp enhances the light that it emits as it interplays with whatever it illuminates: a tree, a garden, a wall, or a façade. Available with graphite grey or brown in two heights: 48 and 79 cm. Elipse functions as a single lighting element, or in combination with several at the same time. This collection also offers an outdoor wall version.
Funiculí
marset > Floor lamp
The Funiculí is one Marset’s most emblematic lamps. Its design is over 30 years old, but is still just as modern and functional as the day it was designed. Yet there’s one avenue that remains unexplored.Heir to the first Funiculí, we offer a version with a fabric shade, a design that Lluís Porqueras first conceived in 1979 but that is only now seeing the light of day.
