Pinecone is a suspension and table lamp. The diffuser is manufactured using the ancient caged blown glass technique: the glass maker blows the molten glass blob into a metal cage, which only partly contains the blob's natural expansion. In this way, the glass surface is partly trapped by and partly escapes the cage, generating an impression of tension as the object struggles to free itself from its harness; the cage is further enriched by the galvanic treatment that makes it look glossy and brilliant. The transparent version, in particular, reveals a two-fold structure that multiplies the scenic effect, while the metal cage pattern projects kaleidoscopic shade effects on the surrounding surfaces. On the contrary, in the white version the glass delicately envelops the cage surface and enhances its geometric pattern, generating an elegant and visually pleasing diffused light. The lighting fixture makes a highly appealing and striking impact either switched on or off.

When Jaime Hayon started working on Catch, he drew a man with open arms, like a chair that wants to catch you - and the chair works like that. &Tradition’s collaboration with Jaime Hayon dates to when the company was founded in 2010, and Catch was the first product to come out of the exchange between Hayon and &Tradition in 2013. The Catch-series now involves chairs with both wooden legs and swivel base, bar and counter chair and two different lounge chairs.

Edge Pot

Edge is a series of understated, hand-thrown terracotta pots in a range of sizes and finishes produced in Portugal using local clay. Inspired by ancient Greek amphora and traditional pottery techniques, the pots taper gently towards the base where they rest on a raised foot. Designed by the Danish ceramic duo Stilleben. Designed for indoor use, the Edge Pot in size Ø25 is an attractive piece to house plants on windowsills or shelves. The pot does not have a drainage hole.
