In 2015 Milans Galleria dArte Moderna restructured by Gardella himself hosted the exhibition on Molteni&Cs 80 years in the furniture business.

Asterias a cactus that grows in the mountainous regions of Mexico lends its name to this new design from Patricia Urquiola. A generously-sized round table featuring a central base reminiscent of the cactus from which it takes its name. It consists of six curved wedge-shaped wooden panels applied protruding over the central plinth. The panels are 3D printed. The top (160 or 180 cm) features a rounded edge sub-divided in the wood version into four wedges that give rise to an interesting geometric pattern. The table can also be fitted with a practical accessory a central Lazy Susan turntable very popular in Asian countries.

MHC.2 is a re-edition of the bookcase prototype designed in 1959 by Yasuhiko Itoh. Made in curved wood a complex process for that time period it won an award at the 3rd edition of the Selettiva competition in Cant del 1959. This piece is both elegant and refined. After issuing a limited edition run of 100 numbered pieces this item is now available as a standard non-numbered piece in curved wood covered in walnut.

An upholstered bed with classic shape and proportions which is embellished by a vertical cord placed on the padded headboard. The wealth of materials used and a rigorous design are the elements that characterize 5050 a collection of bedroom furniture designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. Gloss or matt lacquered surfaces alternate with wooden tops and Eco Skin trays creating alternating color effects that please the eye and underscore the play of solids and voids of a geometric design that is never banal. An interesting feature is the rounded contour of the structural elements that make up bedside tables and chests of drawers.

Vincent Van Duysen reinterprets the recessed handle detail in a modern and sophisticated key working on the contrast between the slim side and end units and the considerable thickness of the worktops which fit in interrupting the linearity of the worktop with stone sink bowls. The alternating materials and the interplay of solids and voids give rise to a dynamic and at once sophisticated kitchen. Generous pul l-out trays open-ended drawers and under-top trolleys complete the project. An aluminum load-bearing structure allows compositions completely suspended from the floor. Innovation is expressed with technological details such as the built-in LED strip light the aluminum profile that discreetly designs the door handle improving its grip and the innovative pivot hinge that allows the door to open 180 making the internal space more usable. The kitchen gains a new architectural look also thanks to Briht wall units with transparent glass doors and soft-closing micro-hinges.
