Aiko is a system of sideboards with clean lines and sophisticated details. Jean-Marie Massaud’s intuition has given life to a project that is a true compendium of Poliform’s know-how. Inspired by ancient sideboards, the cupboards are suspended on a base with feet, in line with the doors with shaped profiles. Attention to detail is key: from shelves that appear to be floating inside the volume thanks to the integrated shelf supports to the sophisticated lighting with; from the central foot that becomes an aesthetic feature to the hinge, developed ad hoc, that ends in a precious external metal plaque. The door finishes are also outstanding: in addition to the classic wood, there is a wicker-effect wood and a laminated glass version with a linen-effect fabric interior.

The Ube stool is an element of rupture, a work of art serving the functionality of the living area. Inspired by the seed of the coco de mer, a tropical fruit with an evocative and sensual shape, the stool has a distinctive concave shape, forming a comfortable cradle to sit on. Radical also in its realisation, it is made from a block of solid wood, in the classic olmo nero finish.

The Mad collection has evolved from the Mad Chair, an armchair with harmonious, enveloping lines that is also perfect for the bedroom. The armchair can be upholstered with a choice of fabrics and leathers from the catalogue, with the possibility of combining two different finishes for the outer shell and inner seat. The latter is also available with a matelassé finish. Mad Chair is available with wooden legs or a swivel metal base.

For the Ketch sofa, Jean-Marie Massaud drew inspiration from the nautical world. Like a sail stretched between the two masts of a boat, the flexible backrest is supported by a simple and solid structure made of solid iroko, a very hard-wearing wood treated with hydro-oils that preserve its beauty over time. The cushioning, made of materials and fabrics specifically for the outdoors, is generous and comfortable.
gentleman’s friends

Gentleman’s Friends completes the Gentleman collection, a modern conversation sofa available with two or three seats. Like the armchairs, it features a metal base with slender feet in different finishes to be customised according to the fabric or leather upholstery.

The Mad Out padded collection, designed by Marcel Wanders, is completed by the eponymous series of coffee tables. The lava stone top, in two different shades that depend on the very high cooking temperatures, can be embellished with a glass powder decoration, which creates an interesting contrast between opaque and shiny surfaces.

With the Magnolia Collection, Emmanuel Gallina found inspiration in nature and all its details, such as the flowing lines of branches and the weightlessness of a falling leaf, with the idea of enhancing the natural lightness of wood. The result is a sofa that combines soft cushions with an understated and sophisticated structure.

In the Magnolia seating collection, as well as in the padded collection of the same name, the idea is to recreate the fluidity of nature’s lines. What emerges therefore is a natural lightness, which in the technical refinement of the execution expresses all of Poliform’s artisan ability. The collection is available in two finishes, one light and one dark, inspired by the Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, according to which cedar wood is burned to make it more resistant, but also by the typical decorative style of the houses of Cap Ferret, Gallina’s place of origin.
