Skol with arms
infinitidesign > Chair
The design of Skol, at first glance, brings back memories of times long gone by, sedimented in the collective memory. In fact, the peculiar shapes and the delicate, timeless structure bring to mind the school chairs, coupled with the desks where each person’s experiences took place during the years of childhood and adolescence. The new Skol emerges from the educational environment, while maintaining the reassuring and evocative sensations that have guided Needs Studio’s creative thinking: the general aesthetic simplicity, given by the 25 mm round steel tube structure, contrasts with the refined details, such as the delicate support of the seat and backrest to the frame, supported by the classic rivet fastening, creating a play of lightness and sinuosity. The soft and welcoming yet robust shapes intersect in a play of full and empty spaces, in which absolute comfort and a distinctly retro style with contemporary influences win out. Skol is available with or without armrests, with seat and back in oak plywood or polypropylene, perfect also for outdoor use, coloured to match or contrast with the chromed or painted frame. Its versatility makes it ideal for numerous uses: it is perfect for cafés, bars, restaurants, bistros, but also for meeting rooms and coworking areas.
Overlap Table
fritzhansen > Table
Overlap series stands strong on its overlapping steel legs. Thanks to the rustic wooden planks and the powder-coated steel, the collection has a modern edge and contemporary appeal. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Overlap is designed in collaboration with Swedish architecture studio, TAF. Overlap Table is a simple high-quality table in Western Red Cedar characterised by its distinctive overlapping steel legs. Sturdy and durable with contemporary elegance, Overlap is a wonderful choice for both outdoor and indoor use. The lightness of Western Red Cedar makes it easy to move around in the garden or terrace. Over time, untreated Western Red Cedar wood will patinate to a beautiful silver-grey colour – similar to patinated teak, making it easy to combine with teak chairs.

Ambrosia
marset > Wall lamp
Recover the traditional linestra light, updated with a decisive technical design and a certain poetic flair. That was the starting point for Ambrosia – what began as a strip light became a modular system that can be extended to fit any space.Ambrosia is a smooth-lined tubular structure; initially designed as a ceiling light, it now includes a wall version. Its warm, diffuse light fills the space, adding beauty and illuminating any project. Available in three lengths – 60, 90 and 210 cm – it can be fitted horizontally or vertically. The 24V LED SMD comes in three warm colour temperatures, 2200 K, 2700 K and 3000 K, which lets you adjust the intensity. Ambrosia started out as a one-off decorative piece for a multibrand luxury boutique in Madrid. The Ciszak Dalmas studio, along with Joan Gaspar, decided to revisit it, combining simplicity, functionality and aesthetics. A versatile, linear design, an almost flat light segment, offering surprising, gentle lighting.

Konoha
marset > Wall lamp
For designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, design is about telling stories. This is certainly true in their new Konoha model, a twin-function wall lamp that tells us what types of lighting we need around us and offers all the right possibilities to make them happen. Out of curiosity and analysis, the designers have taken a number of variables into account, especially those linked to our emotions; light is arguably the most intimate element in an environment, so its design must be thoughtful, functional and purposeful. The Yabu Pushelberg design studio, which is world-renowned for its many hospitality projects, believes that hotel room lighting is often redundant. Every room needs direct and ambient light, which is why they have chosen to include both functions in a single design. The result is a simple, discreet wall lamp with a shade over a directed spotlight that turns through 360°. The shade, like a hat, covers the spotlight, allowing the light to be directed upwards, bounce off the inside and project a beam of soft light, creating warm ambient lighting. If instead the spotlight is focused downwards, it projects a beam of direct light, turning the fixture into a reading lamp. The Konoha design is available in a range of colours, with neutral and organic shades that fit seamlessly into any space. It can be used as a reading lamp in waiting rooms, bedrooms or hotels. Or it can be a point of light in walkways, a wall lamp in restaurants or a way to bring ambient lighting to hotel entrances. Konoha invites users to interact with its light and use it throughout the day, harnessing its two, or even more, functions.

Takumi armchair
infinitidesign > Chair
Two kanji characters, “taku” meaning “skillful” and “mi” meaning “to see”, give rise to the ancient Japanese name Takumi, meaning one who has “talent in the field of craftsmanship and technology”. And it is from this encounter between the industrial world and the creativity of craftsmanship that ‘Takumi’ was born, a collection of upholstered chairs where the circular design combined with the minimalism that hark back to bygone eras. The development of this new line, designed by Studio Dessì, is based on the perfect balance between aesthetics and comfort; the steel tubes of the structure seem to interconnect in a way similar to Escher’s optical illusions as they accommodate soft upholstered elements that can be disassembled and restyled. Available with or without armrests, Takumi is an armchair designed for use in the HoReCa industry, but can also be used in more intimate settings. The wide range of fabrics and the steel frame, which can be painted in different colours, work well together to create refined or pop versions depending on taste or the interior.

The Lelong coffee tables, inspired by the lightness of Scandinavian design, have thin tubular legs in Black Coffee finish with polished Pewter tips supporting lacquered, wood or marble tops. The Lelong family boasts an extensive range: a full series of different sizes and finishes with square, round and rectangular tops that make it particularly versatile and suitable for use as a coffee table, side table or console. The coffee table design also includes a version with two staggered shelves of different heights that intersect to create a sculptural piece of furniture with multiple possibilities of use. Its slender, light design offers an ideal contrast when set alongside the more generous volumes of the Horizonte seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and the Goodman seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni: a balance of shapes and proportions that makes the living space even more dynamic and elegant. In the single-top version, the top is available in Cappuccino, Moka, Chestnut, Army Green, and Malachite polished lacquered finishes, in Canaletto walnut stained Dark Brown or in Liquorice open-pore lacquered ash; in the double-top version, the lower top comes in the same finishes as the single top version, while there are three alternatives for the higher top: Liquorice-coloured ash, Calacatta marble with smooth matt finish or in various lacquered finishes.

Zuma Cake Stand
abchome > Styling
Kelly Wearstler started from a digital graphic pattern, inspired by Bauhaus principles, to design the Zuma, her collection of porcelain tableware. Each pattern is hand-stamped onto the pieces for a hand-painted look and feel, after which the glaze is applied. The patterns vary and you can easily mix and match the different bowls, trays, plates, and serving dishes to create your own unique dinnerware set. These designs are finished by hand which may lead to irregularities that are considered a part of the uniqueness of each piece.Kelly Wearstler, founder and principal of Kelly Wearstler design studio, is an American designer creating multi-layered, stimulating sensory experiences for the home. Through an exploration of materiality, color, forms and an intuitive juxtaposition of contemporary and vintage, architectural and organic, graphic and instinctual, she curates a wealth of experiences into every space. Wearstler believes that honoring history, location and architecture is imperative to pushing the boundaries and challenging the rules.
Bookcase Albero
tonellidesign > Cabinet
The bookcase Albero is born from a creation of Isao Hosoe, a historical example of design that stands out for the natural design and the clean shapes. It is a free-standing designer bookcase that can also be used as magazine rack, with glass rotating base on steel ball bearings. The bookcase Albero can be placed in living rooms or studios: because of its glass composition it donates refinement and elegance to any environment and allows to optimally store books and magazines.
Home office Penrose Desk
tonellidesign > Desk
Penrose desk, designer home office desk, was created by Isao Hosoe together with Lucia Fontana and Masaya Hashimoto. It represents the aesthetic and functional metaphor of man’s challenge to exceed nature and its equilibria through the use of glass, and results as the ideal furnishing complement for the studio. The asymmetric structure in transparent glass, also available in extra clear finish, is able to create a perfect balance between the finely cut glass slabs.
Naked armchair
tonellidesign > Armchair
The Naked armchair, conceived by architect and designer Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni, has a minimal and clean structure. Composed of tempered glass, transparent or extra clear, it can be customized with the seat in matt leather, in the color variants of white or black. Thanks to its defined lines, the Naked armchair is the design piece suitable for personalizing studios and living rooms.

Allen
minotti > Sofa
The Allen sofa is a perfect example of what Minotti means by “sofa”: an object defined by its smooth lines and proportions, its added height from the floor, and the functionality of its dimensions, without sacrificing soft lines and rounded shapes, especially where the arms are concerned. Even though it’s a product of design, Allen is certainly not lacking in comfort, thanks to the high back that offers total support for the back and the head. Internal padding of the arms and back is molded, while the reversible seat cushion is covered in goose down. The feet, made of molded, die cast aluminium, describe a sinuous line, proof that the classical concept is inherent to Minotti’s DNA. Spotlight on feet: made of die cast aluminium, in Pewter colour (a shade created by Minotti Studio) they have sinuous lines and classic structure, in both proportions and materials. Molded, they are the result of technological research and reinforce the association between Minotti and uniqueness. In terms of foot placement, they’re seen in profile when the sofa is viewed from the front, while the flat surface is visible when the sofa is viewed from the back or side. A totally new design concept: unlike traditional chaise longues that form the end unit of a seating composition, this element already possesses a “hint” of the sofa in its shape. Thanks to its “L-shaped” design, it foreshadows the sofa and carries it forward. Minotti also solves the problem of overlapping feet in the corner, and preserves the purity of design. A sense of clarity enhances the value of this piece in a key area of home living - the place for socializing with friends and enjoying family companionship.

Among the foundations of this path, the direct stories of the architects Aimaro Isola and Guido Drocco (co-authors of Bul-Bo in 1971), the notes and original drawings of the studio, the memories of Lodovico Gabetti (son and pupil of Roberto Gabetti ) and Fabrizio Pellegrino (student of the Gabetti and Isola studio).

A lexicon of colour shades for mixing. A large size and its submultiples. «This work represents a reflection on colour, and above all a proposal on how to transfer the multiplicity of shades typical of a hand-crafted piece into a project produced on a large scale.» Andrea Trimarchi & Simone Farresin Studio Formafantasma base their work in the design world on a strong vocation for research. Simone Farresin and Andrea Trimarchi view every project as an opportunity for study and the acquisition of new knowledge, and their love of speculation establishes a dialectic rapport with the situations offered by each new client. Whether it involves a material, a type or a production method, the first phase of their design process is the mapping of what the specific case places at their disposal. With Cedit, an analysis of the company's past and present was central to the inputs. Inevitably, since "Looking back to look forward" has been the design duo's mission statement for years. In this case, in particular, the company's history was a real treasure trove, a fine blend of memory and technology: on the one hand, the excellence of production technologies now extended with the added potential arising from the engineering of large-sized ceramic tiles, and on the other a wealth of experience build up with great designers of the past, from Zanuso to Noorda, through to <strong>Ettore Sottsass</strong>. Andrea and Simone decided to focus on Sottsass - who started designing for Cedit back in the late Seventies - and made an in-depth study of one of the colour charts he developed towards the end of the Nineties. A spread of colours which gave its name to the "41 Colors" collection, included in the catalogue of the period as a real alphabet for what has proved to be a lasting design language. Colour was much more than just a compulsory step in the dialogue between designer and producer, since Sottsass had already discovered the power of the mystery intrinsic to this universe of invention.<br /><br />With Cedit the master-designer, a long-established lover of ceramics and their crafted unpredictability, found a way of transferring his personal feeling for colour to a wide audience, through industrial mass production. And this assumption is another factor Formafantasma have inherited, interpreting it today with new, even more efficient technical resources just as capable of expressing the secrets of colour. «The concept of colour "in isolation" - Sottsass explained in a 1992 text - classified colour, Pantone, as they call it now, "scientific" colour, is something I still refuse to accept. (...) Colours, the idea of colour, are always intangible, they slip slowly away like words, that run through your fingers, like poetry, which you can never keep hold of, like a good story.» And Formafantasma seem to have chosen that distinction between colour "in isolation" and "intangible" yet ever-present colour as the basis of their work. However, their approach draws on their unique vocation for research and the technical resources of the third millennium. «This work - they explain to us - is a reflection on colour, and above all on <strong>how to bring the multiplicity of shades typical of a hand-crafted piece into a large-scale project</strong>.» The designers look at large, monochrome slabs and turn to the engineers for details of their secrets, their processing stages, the phases in their production. They appreciate that the colour of ceramic material, its ineffable secret, can still be present in the series and large tile sizes in which Cedit leads the way. They understand that this is, in itself, an expressive power which does not need channelling into forms, motifs and signs. But above all, they treat the surface as a large canvas on which they spread pure colour, which tends to be uniform but in fact is never really a "scientific", totally monochrome hue: it is not a Pantone. And this is the source of the fundamental insight, which only children of the transition from the analogue to the digital era could achieve, the reward for those who draw on the past to look to the future.<br /><br />The designers cut the slab into lots of regular pieces, not necessarily of the same size. They restore its identity as a "tile", a familiar name with something ancient about it, but which stands for a module, a unit of measurement, a building block. There is nothing nostalgic about this - on the contrary, the vision is completely new, and the portions of slab created can be reassembled with no restrictions, breaking down the unity of the whole and reviving its essence starting from its structure. As the cards in the pack are shuffled, what emerges is not a figure or motif but the representation of colour itself and its physical nature. It is live matter, born from the meeting of vibrating forces, the mixing of ever-varying percentages of the basic ingredients. And Formafantasma present us with the corpuscular, fragmented essence of these small frames of space and crystallised time, which reveal the code and formula of their composition. So Cromatica is a collection made up of six colours which actually have an infinite number of declinations and compositional possibilities. It is a "discrete" combination in the mathematical sense of the term, capable of generating multiple, variable subsets. At the same time, each slab can be used in its entirety, leaving the impression of analogue continuity unchanged. But what really amazes is the comparison and dialogue between the two approaches: a stroke of genius, laying clear the mysterious appeal the artificial reproduction of colour has always held for mankind. Because, as Sottsass said, «colours are language, a powerful, magical, intangible, flexible, continuous material, in which existence is made manifest, the existence that lives in time and space».

Ambrosia
marset > Ceiling lamp
The starting point for the Ambrosia was to bring back the traditional Linestra lamp to update it and show that a technical, resolute design can also be poetic. The Linestra was initially a line of light, which transitioned into a modular system that can be extended to adapt to any space. Its design stems from a tubular structure with gentle lines that attaches to the ceiling, allowing the light to descend and gently illuminate any type of project. It is this diffuse light that fills the space, adding beauty. This lighting system is available in four pre-set lengths, from 120 to 315 cm. Extensions measuring 40 and 60 cm let you define the height from which to hang them. That way, you can adjust their distance from the ceiling to create visually uninterrupted compositions. The LED SMD 24V light tube is available in three warm colour temperatures, 2200K, 2700K and 3000K, and offers adjustable intensity. It can also be installed on a canopy that includes the driver, or hidden and recessed. The Ambrosia started out as a unique and decorative piece for a multi-brand luxury boutique in Madrid. The Ciszak Dalmas studio, along with Joan Gaspar, decided to revise it in an effort to combine simplicity, functionality and aesthetics. Its linear and unique design, a nearly flat segment of light, was made modular and asymmetric to create a soft and surprising lighting system.

Ihana
marset > Ceiling lamp
The serene shapes of the Ihana trace out a silhouette of light. This lighting system consists of several opal blown glass diffusers that are pleasing to the eye, appear ductile and contrast with the firmness of the metal structure that determines its shape and fastens it to the ceiling. In an effort to offer ambient light for any classic or contemporary interior design project, this collection can be used to create light compositions. This is made possible by its structure, which can be extended to include 14 diffusers, connected to a single point of light. It is available in different sizes to illuminate spaces with high ceilings as well. In addition, the Ihana features dim to warm technology, which allows not only regulating the intensity of the light, but also its colour temperature, which can vary from a warm white (3000K) to an ultra warm white, simulating candle light (1800K). Often, a design is born of necessity. Ihana, which means “exquisite” in Finnish, is one of them. Its creator, the architect Joanna Laajisto, moved her studio to a 19th century building in Helsinki and couldn’t find any lamps that fit in with her new office. In search of the beauty of light, she created a sculptural lamp defined by its pure, almost graphic forms, and by the balance between rigidity and fragility. Ihana is a synthesis of contrasts that combines contrasting colours, the black metallic structure and white diffusers, and nuances of old and new. A contemporary and timeless design made by its creator to endure over time and become part of those stories in which no one remembers what year it was designed.
