The original Series 7 chair is the 3207. It was launched in 1955 at the H55 international design exhibition in Sweden as Arne Jacobsen’s reply to the criticism he received for the Ant chair. The 3207 provided a striking response with perfectly proportioned armrests that follow the contours of the curved backrest while extending the smooth lines of the rear legs to create a perfectly balanced and supremely comfortable design.

Later that year, the chair was displayed at the Triennale in Milan, where it received the Grand Prix, the finest distinction of the exhibition. The celebrated chair comes in a range of models and can be customised with an almost endless variety of colours, wood types and upholstery. Wooden legs are angled smoothly outwards in this design, mimicking the steel legs of Jacobsen’s other plywood chairs. This is one of the few Arne Jacobsen chair designs with wooden legs. Remember that the Grand Prix chair with wooden legs is not stackable.

The height-adjustable 3131 swivel chair features an elevated five-legged steel base with high-quality aluminium capped castors, originally designed by Jørgen Rasmussen in 1965 for the KEVI chair. The castor’s twin-wheeled design improves manoeuvrability, and customers have a choice of hard or soft wheels that glide smoothly on a range of surfaces without damaging the floor.

The N02™ Recycle is a multi-use chair made from upcycled plastic household waste that can be recycled again. A crease in the chair’s back is inspired by a folded piece of paper on the designer’s studio table and provides extra support for the upper and lower back. Seven colour options are inspired by Scandinavian nature and, along with multiple base options, make N02 Recycle particularly applicable for work, meeting and dining arrangements. A sledge-base extends the graceful form of the four-legged N02 Recycle chair by forming a closed loop on each side of the chair. Multiple chairs can be linked securely together in straight rows.
