The Chelsea collection designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2014 is enriched with three new items a sofa and an armchair both featuring snug backrests and a bench. All three items are designed to create a cosy corner in a large living room a special space in which to chat and relax. The solid wood frame and clean-cut geometric lines are complemented by the fluid line of the backrests ensuring a comfortable and refined seat.

Always passionate about nautical furnishings Gio Ponti gained direct experience in four ocean liners and two cruise ships upgraded or built from scratch after the war between 1949 and 1951 the Conte Grande Africa Oceania Conte Biancamano Andrea Doria and Giulio Cesare. Ponti designed this easy chair with slight variants for these ships.

Open Operative Column

The range of Operative Columns is enriched with new modularity and design solutions in addition to the Operative Columns currently in the range there will be an unusual solution with a depth of 61.7 cm for alignment with standard columns. It will feature the same mechanism and will take up 93.8 cm in width. Inside it is made up of the open base with wooden drawers and a pull-out stainless steel top. This modularity does not allow for the use of electric appliances which however is still compatible with other dimensional solutions.

Miss chair designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1986. The form is linked to a system of soft unbroken linear rhythms. The legs are slim and divaricated to ensure stability. The front ones are bent to form the armrests and continue into the curve of the backrest. The back legs reach the backrest from behind underpinning it. The seat is inserted between the lines and links them. Tobia Scarpa has re-designed the armrest joint to make the chair comfier and more linear. Structure in natural or black tinted ash seat in leather or hand woven ecru or grey paper cord.

4040 is a generously proportioned bedside unit and an ideal companion for the wide range of beds offered by Molteni&C. Framework and drawers are made of eucalyptus essence and rest on a pewter-colored metal base. The top can be in eucalyptus or marble. A wooden bedside unit with two drawers with a pressure opening. It is available in two variants in all wood or wood with marble top.

From Gio Pontis house located in via Dezza in Milan the small table D.555.1 designed in 1954-1955 is produced by Molteni&C based on the original drawings from the ponti archives. It completes the Gio Ponti Collection which was a furnishing range designed by the architect between 1935 and 1950s. Metal hand painted structure and glass top.
