We also worked on originality by integrating pebbles of warmer shades, which contribute to an even more varied and dynamic surface.

A design toolA cloud of colours targeted to design: the collection plays on a scale of solid colours to interpret architecture with large backgrounds, highlighting geometries or creating uniformity between surfaces. Play consists of 6 carefully selected matt colours: a range of neutral tones from very light to very dark with warm and cold shades. The perfectly solid colours are achieved through a special production process, the ‘solid colour tile’, which we have developed to create completely homogeneous coloured surfaces without any graphic or pattern effect. We offer mainly large sizes (up to 120×278 in White) to respond effectively to all project requirements, both for floor and wall tiles. Play guarantees the possibility of large single-colour surfaces with harmonious visual results and high technical performance also for outdoor wall tiles. A careful research of the many characteristics of this material is the fil rouge to our three solutions, Block, Mold and Plain; these three collections feature different characteristics brought together in the Master Plan.Mold evokes the concrete manually mixed by skilled carpenters and craftsmen, who use their tools to blend it with rocks and gravel of varying coarseness. The collection stands out for gravel clusters of varying sizes scattered randomly, which remind of fresh concrete casts in formworks or moulds, two techniques where concrete material is processed until it reaches a shape of its own. Modern allureBlue brings together the suggestions of natural stones of Central European origin. Essence is characterised by a lightly speckled texture with delicate fossil inclusions and comes in the classic Fumée and Perle colours and the original warm Avane tone. The value of Belgian Pierre Bleue is given on life in Bluetech and Emotion, whose different processes create different surfaces. Vintage represents natural stone, with dark tones and a grainy texture. Scié reinterprets the smooth surface generated by cutting the stone, featured by stripes with different nuances. Flammé represents the flamed finish that natural stone takes on when treated with intense heat.

Post-industrial materialA brand-new hybrid industrial material, Plant is a wood-cement with a used-look appeal and a decidedly contemporary allure. The conspicuous scratching on the surface, the signs of wear and tear and the distinctive colours all contribute to shaping the underground atmosphere the collection takes its inspiration from. The neutral Powder and the more classic Ash grey are joined by Clay beige, dark Rope and markedly reddish Copper. Segni d'AutoreThe FOSSIL tile collection revisits the prehistorical imprints left by plants and animals in rock formations, designed as ornamental patterns destined for contemporary interiors. The preliminary designs were particularly inspired by the signs left by the grooved shells of extinct ammonites. The hand-drawn pattern gives it a unique appearance, similar to the imprints of primordial creatures impressed on the surface of the stone. In our own imagination, each of us can see different figures in the subtle patterns. The imprints break up and overlap just like the signs of time in archaeological digs. Moving in different directions, the FOSSIL surface creates optical illusions of voids and other more densely patterned areas, producing a simple, natural and elegant atmosphere for indoor settings.

Post-industrial materialA brand-new hybrid industrial material, Plant is a wood-cement with a used-look appeal and a decidedly contemporary allure. The conspicuous scratching on the surface, the signs of wear and tear and the distinctive colours all contribute to shaping the underground atmosphere the collection takes its inspiration from. The neutral Powder and the more classic Ash grey are joined by Clay beige, dark Rope and markedly reddish Copper. The tiles come in 6 medium and large sizes, ideal for enhancing the shading effect once laid: 75×150, 25×150, 45×90, 22,5×90, 60×60 and 30×60. Wood and cement, both elements typical of urban areas and industrial redevelopment, combine to play a key role in a superbly contemporary look for surfaces ready to bring a modern slant to any setting.

Solid SurfaceConcrete is versatile; it comes to life without any shape and because of it provides for countless formal options, from smooth finishes to rough surfaces, with a very diverse aesthetic. A careful research of the many characteristics of this material is the fil rouge to our three solutions, Block, Mold and Plain; these three collections feature different characteristics brought together in the Master Plan.Used by the greatest masters of contemporary architecture, concrete is taking a new role, moving from being a construction material to being a surface finish for architectural projects. Plain stems from analysing concrete in this latter, newer function. The collection stands out for slight clouding and more or less marked patterns, light micro-cracks, that usually form when the concrete volume shrinks by effect of thermal excursion and small holes (pitting) formed by air bubbles trapped between the cast and the formwork. The surface is rich with detailed marks and shades; from a distance it appears as a solid, consistent and compact space.

Corten and Verdigris on the other hand draw their inspiration from oxidised metals and replicate the ring marks and stains deriving from the action of rust and acids.

Gravel and rocks of varying coarseness emerge to the surface, as if immersed in concrete in a semi-liquid state. Produced in Mist white and three shades of grey – light Cinder, dark Iron and muddy Nickel – Block is available in the 120×120, 60×120, 75×150, 75×75, 60×60 and 30×60 formats, either with a matt or soft finish, with a soft hand and a very pleasant tactile texture.
