Hiray sofa

HIRAY takes metal, one of the most important materials for the greening of the Kartell catalogue, and uses the welded wire process to shape it. The result is an essential and functional product that is nevertheless rich in emotion. Metal wires form well-defined yet lightweight structural parts of the collection’s chair, chair with arms, bistro table, armchair, divan and side table. The various articles come in white, Bordeaux, black and green.

Plastic Duo is the modular sofa with severe lines characterised by large cushions made of goose feather and flock. The Pop collection is completed by an armchair with the same features and by a pouf, which can be used individually or as part of an arrangement.
Ami ami (2 chairs)

Inspired by the way pattern and texture interweave in a fabric, the Ami Ami chair (its name in Japanese literally means "to weave"), was born of designer's wish to reproduce one of the stylistic icons typical of his country - weaving. The simple squared off lines contrast with the richness of the weaving and this is achieved on the inner and outer surfaces through a complex industrial process which recreates the motif using a single mould.

Big fl/y mat

FL/Y is an essentially-styled suspension lamp. The particular transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours recreate the idea of a soap bubble, shimmering iridiscently in the light. The shade is not perfectly hemispherical, with the cut-off falling just below the level of the diameter, offering greater concentration of the light. The lamp is available in three different sizes: Fl/Y (diameter 52cm, shade depth 33cm), Small Fl/Y (diameter 38cm, shade depth 28cm) and Big Fl/Y (diameter 83cm, shade depth 55cm).

The Masters chair is a clear tribute to three symbol-chairs, reworked and reinterpreted by Starck’s creative genius. The unmistakable silhouettes of Arne Jacobsen’s “Serie 7”, Eero Saarinen’s “Tulip Armchair” and Charles Eames’ “Eiffel Chair” entwine in a sinuous hybrid, creating a fusion of original and attractive styles. The wall sconce is composed of a rosette lampshade in pleated available in several colours with an 11 cm chrome arm. The É suspension lamp consists of a pleated lampshade and a chrome rosette.
