This is the name of the family of lighting fixtures that Francesco Librizzi, a young Sicilian architect working in Milan, has designed for the first time for FontanaArte. Setareh was born of the idea of giving form to light. The lamp is composed of a sphere magically suspended within a thin metal structure. The play of circular masses and trajectories generates a balanced design of gravitational dynamics. The light from the sphere is diffused into the surrounding space, illuminating the frame. The reflections of the metal render the luminous field visible, space influenced by light, by its aura. The result is a collection of lighting elements, available in tabletop and suspension versions, of extraordinary poetic grace. Setareh takes on new dimensions: elongated, with either two or three spherical elements that work separately or together. Its vocation is the illumination of large spaces, with double-height ceilings or otherwise ample enough to accomodate expansive compositions of multiple elements. A firmament of Setareh, ‘star’ in the ancient Farsi language.

Leading Czech designers Henry Wielgus and Jan Plecháè explored the human psyche when creating the vision for Hidden Light. They equated the essence of light to humanity’s inner spark; a brightness that can free us from the cage of society’s expectations. They materialized this metaphor into pendant lighting and a floor lamp. Large glass pieces were blown into a cage-like metal form, yielding a tremendous, yet intricate mass of glass blocks to build a solid body. Whether in clusters, or as a single focal point, Hidden Light creates a humbling spatial experience in which onlookers can reflect on their own unique radiance.

The sofa’s proportions offer a roomy sense of cosiness that allows for work and conversation as well as relaxed comfort. Straight lines converge with discrete curved details in this Hugo Passos design which subtly breaks with the formality of the typical Scandinavian sofa.

Brasilia is the table with the little extra, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. The elegant and sleek design language is inspired by Brazil, in particular the shapes that can be found in the Brazilian capital. The table's shape challenges conventional furniture design and requires skilled craftsmanship to produce as it is created from a single piece of layer-glued laminate that is carefully joined together with no visible joints. Brasilia is available in two sizes and can be obtained in natural lacquered oak or walnut.
