SETAREH GLASS LARGE
fontanaarte > Ceiling lamp
This is the name of the family of lighting fixtures that Francesco Librizzi, a young Sicilian architect working in Milan, has designed for the first time for FontanaArte. Setareh was born of the idea of giving form to light. The lamp is composed of a sphere magically suspended within a thin metal structure. The play of circular masses and trajectories generates a balanced design of gravitational dynamics. The light from the sphere is diffused into the surrounding space, illuminating the frame. The reflections of the metal render the luminous field visible, space influenced by light, by its aura. The result is a collection of lighting elements, available in tabletop and suspension versions, of extraordinary poetic grace. Setareh takes on new dimensions: elongated, with either two or three spherical elements that work separately or together. Its vocation is the illumination of large spaces, with double-height ceilings or otherwise ample enough to accomodate expansive compositions of multiple elements. A firmament of Setareh, ‘star’ in the ancient Farsi language.
Vitruvius Thassos Waterjet Mosaic
artistictile > Floor tile-stone
With echos of Leonardo DaVinci’s famous “Vitruvian Man”, the Vitruvius pattern models the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius’ description of perfect proportions in architecture and the human body. Vitruvius, part of our SPQR collection of stone mosaics, follows the golden rules of Vitruvian architecture: firmatis (durability), utilitas (utility) and venustatis (beauty). Its circular pattern reads as one circle overlapping another, which overlaps another, and so forth, similar to DaVinci’s drawing of the multi-limbed man. The result is an intricate, fluid, and visually stimulating pattern with origins in classic Roman aesthetics, updated for a modern palette. Stocked in three sophisticated colorways, Each crafted with carefully selected natural stones.
Mogensen 2335 Sofa
fredericia > Sofa
The 2,5 seats sofa was designed by Børge Mogensen's son, architect Peter Mogensen, as a completion of his father's last furniture series. The extended width of the cushions softens the formality of the design in a respectfully unpredictable way.
Mino footstool
swedese > Stool
Inspired by the iconic Lamino, Mino was created by architect Thomas Sandell. The easy chair is based on the shapes and needs of the human body. In its design process, Sandell has started from the question of what functions an easy chair should actually fulfill. The end result is a piece of furniture that bears clear traces of both consideration and care for the person who is supposed to use it, while at the same time the kinship with its predecessor is unmistakable. Mino is perfect for those who appreciate both comfort and aesthetics, and is therefore as pleasant to sit in as it is to look at. The Mino footstool is a complementary product to the Mino easy chair. The frame is available in oak, ash or beech and the surface layer in birch.

The fact that the armchair is also available in three widths and three seat heights makes it ideal for many different types of interiors. Mino is also available with wheels. The frame is available in oak, ash or beech and a surface layer in birch. In the family there is also an easy chair with a footstool.

The MS Series is a clean, cool and modern lighting collection created by contemporary Danish architect and designer Mette Schelde. All lamps in the series feature an integrated dial for turning on and dimming control. BK14 Lounger
carlhansen > Bench
Sleek and streamlined yet reassuringly robust, the BK14 lounger was designed in 1959 by Danish architect Bodil Kjær. As pleasing to look at as it is to lie on, the lounger is part of her Indoor-Outdoor Series, which was inspired by Cubist forms and contemporary architecture. As with the rest of the collection, the lounger’s solid teak construction has a simple geometric quality and is designed to weather beautifully over time. Complementing cushions in weather-resistant Sunbrella fabric are also available, offering elegant lounging in optimum comfort.

Daiki
minotti > Armchair
Designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, Daiki is a family of seats inspired by the Brazilian architect's passion for Japan and its culture. The range includes comfortable bergères, fixed and swivel armchairs, with or without armrests, and a fixed footstool. Available with a matt polyester lacquered Palisander Santos shell, in the same Dark Brown stained wood or in Licorice lacquered flamed ash, the seat is made using an exclusive woodworking technique and consists of two elements joined at 45° to obtain a backrest inclination that guarantees maximum comfort. The fixed armchairs feature metal legs in a black-nickel finish, while the swivel seats are supported by a metal base with spokes, swivelling 360° with return, on which a comfortable cushion seats, contained in the curved wooden body. The base of the latter is also available in two different finishes: varnished polished Bronze to match the Palisander Santos frame with matt polyester lacquered finish or Dark Brown stain, or varnished Black Coffee finish for the ash frame. In the version with leather upholstery, the cushions are quilted with visible stitching, while the fabric version only features stitching. Daiki proposes a design that refers to the moods of Mid-Century America in its bold, simple lines, fine materials and balanced proportions.

Miniatures Aluminium Chair
vitra > Styling
The furniture making up the indoor-outdoor group goes back to an idea by Alexander Girard and Eero Saarinen, who were looking for furnishings to harmonize with the house they had just completed for Irvin Miller. Girard, one of whose interests as an architect was landscape gardening, complained that though there was a good choice of furniture for interiors, there was nothing to grace attractive patios – and no decent garden furniture.

Charles Eames became preoccupied with this problem until one day during a flight he came up with the idea of an aluminium frame construction combined with a material »seat«. He wanted to develop a shape following the natural lines of the body, not however as a hard shell, but as a resilient length of material stretched between two supports which trace the body's natural form. A narrow plastic strip extending the length of the material acts as reinforcement. The material is held in place by insertion into slits on the frame's outer edge.

Experiments with different covering materials later resulted in an upholstered sandwich construction consisting of two layers of »Nauga hide« with a thin filling of vinyl-foam and vinylwadding stitched at intervals of 1 7/8 inches using a high-frequency welding technique. Originally conceived for outside use, the first aluminium easy chairs to be mass produced, are today used solely in interiors.

AJ Cushion
fritzhansen > Sofa
Original patterns designed by Arne Jacobsen weave together past, present and future and decorate these special Fritz Hansen cushions. The pattern Trapez is originally designed by Arne Jacobsen and both are characterised by the Danish architect and designer's minimalistic expression. The Trapez cushion comes in the intense dark blue colour Midnight blue. The colour makes the pattern and its shadows come to life in a playful, beautiful and understated manner. The cushion is knitted in wool and filled with FossFlakes.
BK13 Swing Sofa
carlhansen > Bench
The BK13 swing sofa was designed in 1959 by Bodil Kjær as part of a series of beautifully crafted, architecturally inspired indoor-outdoor furniture. As with the rest of the series, the Danish architect looked to Cubism for inspiration for the sofa’s precise, streamlined form, which is crafted from solid teak. Designed to withstand harsh weather, the swing sofa also offers superior comfort, suspended from knotted ropes for a relaxing rocking motion. Designed for indoors and out, it can be supplied with cushions made from weather-resistant Sunbrella fabric as well as an A-frame for easy suspension.
Tradition
fritzhansen > Armchair

Crafted in the same high-quality materials and dedication to details, the spindle backrest sits perfectly with all other Tradition pieces and can be secured together to create a seamless and stable lounge experience. Please note that a different version is available to meet the fire regulations in the UK market. These cushions are upholstered with FR cold foam, which is not weather resistant.

D.555.1 Small Table
molteni > Coffee table
From Gio Pontis house located in via Dezza in Milan the small table D.555.1 designed in 1954-1955 is produced by Molteni&C based on the original drawings from the ponti archives. It completes the Gio Ponti Collection which was a furnishing range designed by the architect between 1935 and 1950s. Metal hand painted structure and glass top.
Console Liber
tonellidesign > Console
The console table Liber can also become a bookcase, being versatile in its shapes and compositions and having several shelves available on which to place books and objects. Created by designer and architect Luca Papini, this console makes any environment brighter and more elegant. The console or bookcase is made in transparent, extra clear or smoked glass, it is available in several sizes and features a mirrored base. Finally, it can be accessorized with drawers in wood or covered with leather, creating an elegant contrast with the transparency.
Quadrado
minotti > Sofa
Inspired by the classic teak duckboard used in the yachting industry to facilitate the outflow of water, the Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan developed Quadrado, a modular system consisting of suspended square platforms that furnish outdoor spaces with exceptional lightness and flexibility. A flexible and dynamic furnishing, of undisputed quality and comfort, which perfectly dialogues with the surrounding environment: a young and contemporary proposal that invites informal and original solutions. The wooden bases welcome comfortable padded cushions with backrests in a special fibre woven with wicker-effect, available in Mud colour or plain Liquorice colour. The sitting elements are interspersed with wooden surfaces that feature trays or candle holders, that can be arranged as desired with a surprising interlocking effect. A circular armchair joins this outdoor landscape characterized by its broad compositional freedom. For the concept, Kogan was inspired by the Japanese Metabolist architecture of the Fifties and Sixties, defined by modular volumes. Originally conceived for large living areas with 102x102 cm modules, Quadrado also integrates within its range a more compact version with 87x87 cm modules that can be combined together to adapt to more limited urban, residential and Hospitality contexts. The Quadrado double daybed, with its substantial proportions - 242x180 cm - creates an extracomfy nest in which to sit back, relax and dream. It is designed in the form of a niche, with alcove marked out by the teak duckboard backrest and armrests, and it is completed by a large mattress and soft, enveloping cushions. The double daybed sits on two metal crosspieces in Bronze.
Daiki Studio
minotti > Armchair
Inspired by his many trips to Japan, the Daiki seat, part of the collection since 2020 in both indoor and outdoor versions, is the expression of the Brazilian architect’s passion for Japanese culture and is now available in an office version. Made using sophisticated wood crafting techniques, the curved body is composed of two elements joined at a 45° angle, which guarantee maximum comfort. In Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, or Black-coloured open-pore lacquered flamed ash wood, the body provides a snug fit for the cushioning. Daiki Studio is available in five versions, designed for different functions and uses. Alongside an Executive armchair on wheels, with high backrest and a five-spoke base in Bronze-coloured varnished steel – a 360° swivel base with no return mechanism, but with height and rocker adjustment mechanisms – four more armchairs with lower backrest are available: an armchair with the same characteristics of the Executive armchair, but smaller; an armchair with a 360° swivel base composed of four spokes and feet, with return mechanism; a lounge armchair with legs in aluminium and, finally, a version of the same piece that is 10 cm taller, ideal for setting beside a table or a desk. All the armchairs can be completely covered in leather or fabric, or feature armrests in Carbone-coloured Aspen leather and fabric cushioning. The cover, in leather or fabric, always features stitching, except in the Executive version, which also sports a slightly quilted effect. Daiki Studio offers a design that explores and reinterprets the American Mid-Century moods in its bold, clean lines, fine materials and balanced proportions.
