Rationality and transgressionPendant fixture providing direct light. Babele’sshade features a spiral pattern in the shade itself along with a textured micalike finish. The shades interior has a golden finish which provides balance tothe shade’s strong presence. Hanging lamp for direct light in turned aluminium and painted externally with different shades of micaceous color, golden inside. Suspended with stell cables, produced in 3 diameters: Ø 45cm, Ø 65cm and Ø 92cm.Designed by Marc Sadler in 2005 for Martinelli Luce, the surface of the lamp is characterized by circular ribs of different diameters arranged in almost parallel planes to describe a path: the path of man towards the infinite light and truth as opposed to the boring life. Babele has a strong personality, which attracts attention, able to fill the space.

Two kanji characters, “taku” meaning “skillful” and “mi” meaning “to see”, give rise to the ancient Japanese name Takumi, meaning one who has “talent in the field of craftsmanship and technology”. And it is from this encounter between the industrial world and the creativity of craftsmanship that ‘Takumi’ was born, a collection of upholstered chairs where the circular design combined with the minimalism that hark back to bygone eras. The development of this new line, designed by Studio Dessì, is based on the perfect balance between aesthetics and comfort; the steel tubes of the structure seem to interconnect in a way similar to Escher’s optical illusions as they accommodate soft upholstered elements that can be disassembled and restyled. Available with or without armrests, Takumi is an armchair designed for use in the HoReCa industry, but can also be used in more intimate settings. The wide range of fabrics and the steel frame, which can be painted in different colours, work well together to create refined or pop versions depending on taste or the interior.

Insula is a series of distinctive coffee tables made in pure aluminium, designed by Danish designers Mette Bartholin-Jensen and Morten Ernst. The asymmetrical, yet balanced shape of the table top is balanced by the streamlined definition seen in the slim table top and angular frame. Almost like small islands, the tables have a floating feeling. Their striking silhouette makes them equally beautiful as stand-alones or clustered together to form an archipelago.
