Oliver "Dining"
minotti > Table
Oliver fully interprets the classic contemporary value characteristic of the Minotti style code in every setting. Available in different finishes, the tops of this series of tables are available in Calacatta marble, Stone Grey with glossy polyester lacquer finish, Moka open-pore lacquered ash, as well as Arabescato Grigio marble for all sizes and Canaletto walnut stained Dark Brown. The frame of the Oliver Dining, in Black-Nickel, polished Pewter or Bronze colours, presents a distinctive visual effect, produced by the metal stem that sinuously connects to the base. The support opens up with a slight flaring in the circle of the base, offering a continuous polished surface.
Wedge "Dining"
minotti > Table
The bulky look created by the solid sculptural masses of the semi-circular legs of Wedge contrasts with the lightweight feet, which culminate in an oblique chisel tip shape. The entire volume of the table, hosting the large top, appears to become weightless and leans lightly on the tips of the legs, challenging the law of gravity. The element of surprise is even stronger in the version with barrel-shaped glass top, the surface of which reveals the semi-circles of the supports, positioned in a purposely irregular formation. The top comes in three different shapes - round, rectangular or barrel-shaped - with the four slightly curved sides and the option of choosing from bronzed glass, Moka-coloured flamed ash wood or marble, in the Calacatta, Stone Grey and Nero Marquina colours. The bases, in Malt-coloured satin metal or polished steel - the latter clearly inspired by the Seventies - can be matched with the marble and wood tops. The base is also available in a Moka-coloured wenge wood finish only when combined with the top in bronzed glass.
Lelong
minotti > Coffee table
The Lelong coffee tables, inspired by the lightness of Scandinavian design, have thin tubular legs in Black Coffee finish with polished Pewter tips supporting lacquered, wood or marble tops. The Lelong family boasts an extensive range: a full series of different sizes and finishes with square, round and rectangular tops that make it particularly versatile and suitable for use as a coffee table, side table or console. The coffee table design also includes a version with two staggered shelves of different heights that intersect to create a sculptural piece of furniture with multiple possibilities of use. Its slender, light design offers an ideal contrast when set alongside the more generous volumes of the Horizonte seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and the Goodman seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni: a balance of shapes and proportions that makes the living space even more dynamic and elegant. In the single-top version, the top is available in Cappuccino, Moka, Chestnut, Army Green, and Malachite polished lacquered finishes, in Canaletto walnut stained Dark Brown or in Liquorice open-pore lacquered ash; in the double-top version, the lower top comes in the same finishes as the single top version, while there are three alternatives for the higher top: Liquorice-coloured ash, Calacatta marble with smooth matt finish or in various lacquered finishes.
Halley "Outdoor"
minotti > Sofa
A family of chairs for outdoor use that echoes the visually striking design of the eponymous indoor armchair. The metal structure is first sandblasted to remove any imperfections and then epoxy powder-coated in the following colors: Clay, Pewter, Sunflower, Khaki Green and Rust. The metal structure is completely covered in special polypropylene fiber that is similar to traditional woven wicker and comes in an array of sophisticated colors: Sand, Elephant Grey, Charcoal, Sunflower, Khaki Green and Rust. The epoxy-painted finish on the metal structure is color-coordinated to match the cord. It is in Pewter color when the cord covering is in Elephant Grey or Charcoal, and is in the same shade as the cord for the other colors: Clay, Sunflower, Khaki Green and Rust. The cushions have internal padding in high resilience expanded polyurethane foam and are covered in water resistant fiber and fabric. The completely removable upholstery covers come in a vast array of outdoor fabrics that look sensational when combined with the cord structures. The Halley “Outdoor” family includes an armchair, footstool, sofa and daybed. Thanks to their streamlined proportions, they bring stylish, elegant decor to any setting, even urban and hospitality spaces. The Halley “Outdoor” collection also includes a daybed that is as elegant as it is comfortable. The structure is covered in cord in the following colors: Sand, Elephant Grey, Charcoal, Sunflower, Khaki Green and Rust. The cushions have internal padding in high resilience expanded polyurethane foam and are covered in water resistant fiber and fabric. Thanks to a mechanism designed and engineered by Minotti Studio, the Halley “Outdoor” daybed can be adjusted to four different reclining positions.
Russell
minotti > Sofa
Recalling the composed style of the Fifties the Russell family consists of a variety of typologies of great appeal that range from the enveloping armchair to the elegant lounge and dining armchairs, the bergère, the soft sofa and the ottoman. The shape takes up vintage lines, modernising them with an incredibly sophisticated silhouette that involves both the seat cushions and the external covering, which comes in fabric or leather, for a combination of textures of great charm. The fixed cross structure in Bronze-coloured metal with the feet sheathed in Moka-shaded oak is a surprising detail that reflects the virtuosity of Minotti in combining different materials. Worked with the company's unique savoir-faire, they highlight its craftsmanship tradition. The revolving versions of the armchair, the bergère and the lounge and dining chairs are instead characterised by a base made of wooden spokes.
Boteco
minotti > Cabinet
The signature style and architectural language of Studio mk27 are clearly visible in the design of Boteco, which plays with volumes by layering, removing and adding. With its strong identity, the Boteco family of sideboards and coffee tables fully expresses the approach taken by Kogan, who considers the planning phase of architecture, interiors and design as “part of a single process in which scale is the only difference, and where the borders separating each territory are blurred”. Closed spaces and open compartments define the look of the Boteco sideboards, in a carefully planned juxtaposition of materials and finishes. The living and dining sideboards, with one single open compartment or with closable doors, have a structure in oak with Tobacco colour stain finish or palisander Santos in matt polyester lacquer finish, and a top that accommodates a tray insert with the bottom in Sahara Noir marble, the same used on the open compartment. The sideboards stand on aluminium, blade-like legs with a Golden Brown finish. In the dining version, the interiors, whose finish matches the exterior one, are accessorised with a cutlery drawer and, in the sideboard with four doors, a glass shelf.
Brasilia "Nightstand"
minotti > Cabinet
The Brasilia nightstand echoes the style and materials of the Brasilia Bed. It is available in one size - 70x48 cm H37 - with a practical front drawer, and in two versions: Dark Brown stained palisander Santos or Honey stained open-pore oak.
Superquadra
minotti > Table
The Superquadra table, with its rectangular, minimal design and sizeable proportions, rests on four aluminium legs with polished Brandy-coloured finish, sticking out from the line of the top, to give them an airy look. The considerably thick top incorporates the folding technique, maintaining the continuity of the veining from the top to the sides. Available in four sizes, from 250 cm to 400 cm in length, it enhances the aesthetic and textural properties of the Dark Brown stained palisander Santos with matt polyester lacquered finish and the Black lacquered open-pore flamed ash, as well as of the Dark Brown stained palisander Santos combined with Sahara Noir marble with matt polyester varnished finish. With a design capable of interpreting both the spaces at home and those of the workplace, the Superquadra table slots into high profile meeting rooms and board rooms with style. For the wooden tops, cable holes are available in the same finish as the surface, on request.
Cotton Sateen Sheet Set
minotti > Styling
The pure cotton sateen bed linen set consists of an upper sheet, an under sheet and a pair of pillowcases. Made from the finest, highly prized Egyptian cotton, it is characterised by its extreme lustre, silky appearance and pleasant softness to the touch. It is available in the colours Khaki, White and Graphite.
Fynn
minotti > Styling
Scandinavian values meet Italian tradition in Fynn, a project created by combining fine cabinet-making in the wooden elements and sophisticated upholstering with fabric or saddle-hide. The signature element of the Fynn seats is the armrest, elongated and slightly curved, rounded and smooth to the touch, 100% handmade. Its precise, well-defined line identifies the whole family of seats, in the two Fynn and Fynn Saddle-Hide versions. Covered with the exclusive fabrics and saddle-hides in the collection, it fully expresses the high level of the elegant sartorial process which has always been Minotti’s distinguishing mark. The family comprises armchairs, lounge and dining little armchairs, benches, footstools and coffee tables. The Fynn armchair and little armchairs feature an ultra-lightweight aesthetic with a simple structure in ash wood with Liquorice colour stained finish. This hosts a padded seat and backrest cushion, designed as a single element. The informal rigour with which Fynn hosts the upholstered element designs a comfortable seat that almost cradles the body, wrapping it in the warmth of the wooden structure. In the Fynn Saddle-Hide version, a single saddle-hide element incorporates both the seat and backrest. The armchair and lounge little armchair have separate padded cushioning, which is optional in the dining little armchair. The saddle-hide covering comes in an extensive colour palette: Burgundy, Ash, Dove Grey, Sage, Mud, Moka, Black, Bulgarian Red, Moss Green, Green, Pewter, Corten, White and Grey. The Fynn conceived for the dining area includes the version with fully padded shell and, alternatively, the Saddle-Hide version with or without cushion. The Fynn family of seats is completed by a footstool and some benches of different sizes, all with a cushion except for the benches in the Saddle-Hide version, which have a structure with a slightly concave top, combined with a saddle-hide covering that envelopes it like exquisite leather. The coffee tables also share the same line as the wooden armrest, which designs a slight curve also found in the structural and side parts. The central part of the coffee table is enhanced by the presence of the top in Calacatta marble, creating a sophisticated combination of materials.
Lawrence "Bedwear"
minotti > Styling
The reversible Lawrence bedspread is made entirely by hand. One side is covered in Douglas 08 Corda fabric and the other in Leopold 02 Sabbia fabric. The reversible Lawrence throw is entirely hand-made. It is 100% cashmere. It comes in three coordinated color pairings: Écru and Ivory, Silver and Titanium; both with a suede border in mud color and Platinum with a suede border in Iron color.
Doyle
minotti > Coffee table
Inspired by Mid Century lounge atmospheres, the Doyle coffee table consists of a 20 mm thick circular top with rounded edge available in Calacatta marble, Belvedere granite with brushed finish, and in Nero Marquina and Portoro marble. Doyle is available in three different sizes, with 120 cm diameter and 25 or 30 cm height or 150 cm diameter and 25 cm height, and has a cylindrical base covered in varnished polished Bronze metal. With its clean, minimalist design, it is the ideal go-to furnishing piece for adding a touch of uniqueness to every living area.
Belt "Cord" Outdoor Dining
minotti > Outdoor furniture
The enveloping and comfortable body of the Belt seats designed for indoor use in 2021 also shapes the outdoor version. The band which, in the original design, outlines the silhouette of the volume recalling the shape of a belt, in its outdoor version becomes a corded contour in the colours Sand and Dark Brown, covering the polished Bronze steel frame. The seats rest on a matt varnished aluminium base, in the shades of Ecru and Dark Brown, reiterating the colours of the cord, and feature padded cushions with extra-durable polyurethane foam inserts, covered in water-repellent fibre and fabric. The Belt Cord Outdoor family is composed of a two-seater sofa, bergère, armchair, footstool, lounge armchair and dining little armchair, all also available with natural finish teak legs. With a more classic feel and a warmer aesthetic, this version can be easily combined with all the other furnishing pieces in the outdoor collection.
Quadrado
minotti > Sofa
Inspired by the classic teak duckboard used in the yachting industry to facilitate the outflow of water, the Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan developed Quadrado, a modular system consisting of suspended square platforms that furnish outdoor spaces with exceptional lightness and flexibility. A flexible and dynamic furnishing, of undisputed quality and comfort, which perfectly dialogues with the surrounding environment: a young and contemporary proposal that invites informal and original solutions. The wooden bases welcome comfortable padded cushions with backrests in a special fibre woven with wicker-effect, available in Mud colour or plain Liquorice colour. The sitting elements are interspersed with wooden surfaces that feature trays or candle holders, that can be arranged as desired with a surprising interlocking effect. A circular armchair joins this outdoor landscape characterized by its broad compositional freedom. For the concept, Kogan was inspired by the Japanese Metabolist architecture of the Fifties and Sixties, defined by modular volumes. Originally conceived for large living areas with 102x102 cm modules, Quadrado also integrates within its range a more compact version with 87x87 cm modules that can be combined together to adapt to more limited urban, residential and Hospitality contexts. The Quadrado double daybed, with its substantial proportions - 242x180 cm - creates an extracomfy nest in which to sit back, relax and dream. It is designed in the form of a niche, with alcove marked out by the teak duckboard backrest and armrests, and it is completed by a large mattress and soft, enveloping cushions. The double daybed sits on two metal crosspieces in Bronze.
Tape "Cord" Outdoor
minotti > Sofa
The Tape family of seats, which made its début in 2018, naturally evolves, incorporating items for the outdoor environment that maintain the undeniable elegance of the forms and concepts of the design, and add a few welcome variants that embrace the concept of outdoor living. The seats become deeper, larger and more relaxing, while the metal frame, in a new outdoor finish, is covered with the wicker-effect cords available in two colours: Mud and Liquorice. Here, the couture detail of Tape - the piece of ribbon that holds the feet on to the body - takes the form of a metal plate in Bronze colour, a finish that is the leitmotiv of all the outdoor seats of the 2019 Collection. The system offers many elements, ideal for creating relaxation areas also in small outdoor spaces or on urban rooftop terraces: from the armchair to the sofa, from the Paolina chaise longue to the original couch open at the back, from the chair to the coffee tables, up until the stool in two heights of 102 and 115 cm, in the collection from January 2020. The concept of the small tables in metal with Bronze finish is inspired by the distinctive Tape detail itself, which aesthetically secures the legs to the crown, inside which the top in Silver Beola or Corian® EC is inserted.
Belt "Cord" Outdoor
minotti > Sofa
Avon "Throw"
minotti > Styling
The Avon throw is made in Italy with luxurious Chinese kid leather hides sewn together using the tailoring method employed by furriers. It reverses to anthracite woolen cloth on the other side. The throw is available stained Ice shade, and comes in two sizes: 140x200 cm and 200x240 cm.
Harvey Line
minotti > Cabinet
More than an evolution, the Harvey Line is a conceptual transformation that opens the door to new stylistic interpretations and multiplies the possibilities for use in project design. The trademark airy lightness of the Harvey wood base is replaced by the stately solidity of a Pewter color metal base.
Harvey
minotti > Cabinet
A series of cabinets that combine bold elegance and personality, with lighter proportions and contemporary style. Harvey is a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity with the Moka wood base that offers exquisite contrast to the glossy lacquered cabinet doors and sophisticated Black-Nickel metal detailing. Its tasteful, refined proportions call to mind the Scandinavian influence of the ‘60s, while the reflections of the lacquered surfaces and the dark, classic shades of the bases in solid ash, confer bold personality and uniqueness to these products. Aesthetically speaking, Harvey’s charm arises from an original combination of three materials: glossy lacquer, stained ash in Moka and Black-Nickel metal accents, the cleverly-sized pieces and the balance of proportions.
Twiggy Bed
minotti > Bed frame
The sophisticated sartorial taste that distinguishes the Twiggy family of seats also characterises Twiggy Bed, the design for the night area featuring the same tailoring details, an expression of Minotti’s mastery of particularly refined crafting techniques. Like the Twiggy family of seats, Twiggy Bed combines the aesthetics of the 1970s with refined, elegant upholstery, setting the rigorous volumes of the platform and headboard on the iconic base in brushed aluminium or Black Coffee colour. The headboard, available in two different heights, is entirely upholstered in fabric or leather and is embellished with stitching that reveals the depth of the brand’s manufacturing know-how. The platform echoes the couture aesthetic of the headboard and its multiple pocket springs guarantee a high quality of rest. Twiggy Bed family represents an ideal of timeless beauty capable of also adding a refined, yet contemporary flair to furnishing pieces for the night area.
Wisp Rainbow
minotti > Carpet
The perfect combination of silky soft Lyocell® and matt New Zealand wool fibres breathes life into a rug with an elegant degradé chromatic effect and a welcoming look, thanks to its extra-long shag (4,5 cm). In addition to its exceptional aesthetic, Wisp Rainbow also boasts an interesting natural characteristic: the ability to absorb humidity and regulate the acoustics of the environment. Crafted with great care and dedication by expert artisans, the rug is hand-tufted, becoming the ultimate expression of Minotti’s unique quality and style. Available in the colours Ash and Smoke.
Lang "Console"
minotti > Console
The Lang console, like the other elements in the eponymous collection, rests on sophisticatedly minimalist metal blades painted Pewter color. The base is suitably reinforced to ensure the utmost stability without compromising the inherent lightness of the project. The console is available in two heights: “High” 72 cm and “Low” 50 cm, and comes with two push-pull drawers. The structure is finished in Granite color glossy lacquer, while the drawer fronts are available in polished ebony, Tobacco stained flamed oak and Moka oak.
Lelong 23
minotti > Coffee table
The lightness of the Scandinavian-inspired Lelong coffee table design is extended with Lelong 23, evolving into multiple generous shapes: from round to the original oval form, also offered in a version with a shelf underneath. Lelong 23 appears as a slender, airy silhouette and is perfect for complementing both more voluminous and aesthetically furnishing pieces and those characterised by a more minimal design. Its discreet ability to dialogue with the other elements in the collection makes this family highly versatile and able to coexist with different stylistic and formal identities. To ensure stability to the weight of the tops, the cross-section of the Black Coffee-coloured metal frame tubes is increased, yet remains consistent with the aesthetic of lightness at the design root of the collection. A furnishing piece with an essential look, but enriched by the exquisite marble and wood top finishes that lend it great quality and stylistic content.
Linha Studio
minotti > Table
The evolution of the dining table designed by the Brazilian architect in 2020, the Linha Studio desk is available in five sizes, from the suite or home office desk to larger sizes for the office. The sculptural frame draws a large bridged area with the top lying flush to the sides, and two drawers underneath, positioned on the left. Linha, which means line in Portuguese, responds to the challenge of designing a desk with a slender frame, a top only 16 mm thick and from 180 to 250 cm long. Visually speaking, it is extremely light and airy, the ultimate expression of the minimalism that pervades the designs of Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, which have always focused on finding proportions that convey a certain elegance. The entire frame is characterised by sides with a Golden Brown finish, while the top and front of the drawers are in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, with a matt polyester lacquered finish, wood with an interesting texture that adds volumes of personality to the design. A cable hole compartment is located on the table top, which can house a storage tray in Golden Brown varnished metal, with internal partitions and a background in Dark Brown saddle-hide positioned near the drawers.
Torii "Dining"
minotti > Chair
Airy, with constructive details linked to Japanese tradition, the Torii modular seats play with round edged volumes, thin profiles and the apparent formal simplicity of an extremely detailed design. The metal structure of the legs of the seats and tables is Nendo’s nod to the image of the “torii”, the entrance gate to Shinto shrines in Japan. With an interlocking game, the horizontal elements are laid on the vertical supports, ensuring a sophisticated visual lightness that accommodates the padded volume, characterised by couture craftsmanship. The Torii family includes sofas - with high or low backrest and a linear shape, rounded at the arms - inclined sofas with a combination of two different depths, armchairs and lounge and dining little armchairs, ottomans, coffee tables, and a slender, oval-shaped console table, ideal for placing anywhere in the living area. The varied range of products makes it possible to design a flexible layout, in which the individual elements can also be combined to create a strong visual unity. The metal frame found in the components of the Torii family evokes the image of the “Senbon Torii, the wooden colonnade that forms a gallery made up of 1,000 vermilion torii gates”, as Nendo reminds us. The slim backrest features vertical quilting and a piping running along the perimeter of the cushioning, underlining the couture quality of the craftsmanship. The eco-leather and eco-nubuck piping is in a slightly contrasting colour, but in the same shade as the fabric, if combined with a textile covering, whereas the leather versions come in the same shade when combined with leather upholstery. All the upholstered elements of the system can be customised by choosing the covering: 100% fabric or leather, or in fabric with a leather base. The seats can be accessorised with leather magazine caddy, crafted with fine luggage-crafting techniques and enriched with the same metal details as the base. The end of the horizontal metal element of the legs is designed so that it almost holds the backrest and seat, recalling the Kigumi technique, borrowed from the Japanese tradition of wood construction. A small decorative disk with Black-Nickel finish, in the form of a jewel-like button located at the end, adds a precious detail to the ensemble, and creates a series of contrasts with the Bronze colour varnished metal finish of the legs. The armchairs and swivel armchairs in the form of a perfect circle were designed to meet a variety of requirements, both in terms of functionality and ergonomics, available in a range of different types. The seats - in the Bergère, Large, Medium and Small versions - and the Dining, Dining Large and Lounge little armchairs are the result of the in-depth research carried out to find the best way to express the sophisticated simplicity of the craftsmanship. The base is available in leather or fabric. The extension of the base of some elements features a top in Calacatta or Stone Grey marble with a matt polyester lacquer finish, crafted with a careful study of its proportions, thickness and structural details so that it blends seamlessly into the seat, also from an aesthetic point of view. The Small armchair is also available in the Torii Nest version with braided leather backrest and a pattern inspired by Vienna straw, inserted in a solid ash wood frame that sits on a base in the same material. The Torii coffee tables also feature the same structural style details as the seats, reflected in the metal frame with Bronze colour varnished finish and details in Black-Nickel metal. Available in different sizes, ranging up to an impressive diameter of 120 cm, and different heights, they feature a top in Calacatta or Stone Grey marble with matt polyester finish, in Black pâte de verre or in Liquorice colour brushed ash wood, enclosed by a Liquorice colour matt lacquered frame.
Yoko "dining"
minotti > Chair
Yoko, a light and elegant seating design; a Japanese name and Scandinavian lines that come together in a piece of furniture with an aesthetic matrix, flavoured by both cultures. A contrast in constant equilibrium thanks to the skilful craftsmanship of the Japanese-Danish couple Inoda+Sveje. The continuous cross-reference between the two cultures, their styles and manufacturing skills shapes a project composed of an armchair, a dining little armchair and a bench/footstool characterised by a dual lightness: physical and aesthetic. Delicate and sinuous lines, created with precious cabinet-making interlocking techniques that enrich the structure of legs and armrests in solid ash open pore wood lacquered with a Liquorice colour, or in solid Canaletto walnut stained Light Brown, a chromatic choice that lends a more decisive tone to the elegance of the silhouette. The wooden frame has a joint where the leg meets the armrest, both at the front and at the back: a structural joint that becomes decorative thanks to the clever use of the wooden material. In this project, the great expertise in woodworking that has always been characteristic of Nordic and Japanese craftsmanship meets the historical know-how of a Made in Italy company that has been an expert in exquisite upholstered furniture for decades. Yoko is the harmonious union of technology, elegance and comfort.
Quincy Chevron
minotti > Styling
The deliberately clean design, in the shape of a parallelepiped, defined by a large volume, spotlights the chevron-patterned stitching that characterises the bench covering. The bench is available in two versions: Quincy, covered in fabric or leather, and Quincy Chevron, only in leather with stitching. The decorative pattern, which draws a series of stitched “V”s, wraps Quincy Chevron up in an interesting three-dimensional effect, highlighting the esprit couture of sartorial craftsmanship combined with bold, linear shapes. It is available in three sizes, in Nabuk and all the leathers and fabrics of the collection. It sits on brushed aluminium blades with polished varnished Brandy colour finish, that contrasts yet complements the texture of the covering. The bench can be used on its own or matched with the various seating systems, blending elegantly into living areas with a contemporary feel.
Daiki Studio
minotti > Armchair
Inspired by his many trips to Japan, the Daiki seat, part of the collection since 2020 in both indoor and outdoor versions, is the expression of the Brazilian architect’s passion for Japanese culture and is now available in an office version. Made using sophisticated wood crafting techniques, the curved body is composed of two elements joined at a 45° angle, which guarantee maximum comfort. In Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, or Black-coloured open-pore lacquered flamed ash wood, the body provides a snug fit for the cushioning. Daiki Studio is available in five versions, designed for different functions and uses. Alongside an Executive armchair on wheels, with high backrest and a five-spoke base in Bronze-coloured varnished steel – a 360° swivel base with no return mechanism, but with height and rocker adjustment mechanisms – four more armchairs with lower backrest are available: an armchair with the same characteristics of the Executive armchair, but smaller; an armchair with a 360° swivel base composed of four spokes and feet, with return mechanism; a lounge armchair with legs in aluminium and, finally, a version of the same piece that is 10 cm taller, ideal for setting beside a table or a desk. All the armchairs can be completely covered in leather or fabric, or feature armrests in Carbone-coloured Aspen leather and fabric cushioning. The cover, in leather or fabric, always features stitching, except in the Executive version, which also sports a slightly quilted effect. Daiki Studio offers a design that explores and reinterprets the American Mid-Century moods in its bold, clean lines, fine materials and balanced proportions.
Brasilia
minotti > Armchair
Brasilia, designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, has an ultra-precise, contemporary, minimal style, rooted in Brazilian modernism. Minotti has successfully incorporated Kogan’s stylistic trademarks into the 2021 Collection, blending their charm with that of the overall design concept. A family of furniture with a highly innovative profile that reinterprets shapes from the past, transforming their apparent simplicity into a form of real beauty that conceals an intricately complex design concept: by juxtaposing different materials with strong powers of expression, it offers a new take on the distinctive style that identifies the Minotti brand. A design that looks to the future, made to stand the test of time and become a new classic. The family hosts a range of seats for different environments, from the living to the night area, including sofas, elements with one armrest, an armchair and ottoman, and a varied selection for the bedroom. It is characterised by a Mid-Century aesthetic revisited and modernised not only in its lines and volumes, but also in its use of materials, in particular Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, and in its elegant structural details. In this proposal, the distinctive characteristics of the Minotti brand are clearly visible: it does not focus so much on the design in terms of its shape, but rather on the project’s cultural elements, offering a new take on classic lines, volumes and proportions, and showcasing original new uses of materials. The seats, conceived for the home environment, can also play an original role in hospitality settings, given the wide variety of elements, coverings and configurations to choose from. The strong architectural feel conveyed by the volumes and proportions of Brasilia points to the world of Marcio Kogan, his interiors and architectures, paying tribute to the period of great cultural ferment that swept through Brazil in the 1950s, in which Oscar Niemeyer and Lùcio Costa were prominent figures. The seating elements are enclosed in a square frame in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos, sourced from responsibly managed forests, accommodating a system of even, comfortable padding, offering a comfy, cushioned seat. With their airy look, they rest on metal feet with a polished Brandy finish, a prime example of the continuous and constant interaction of materials exploited by Kogan - wood, metal, fabric, and leather - to evoke warmth and comfort. The Brasilia range comprises two sizes of sofa (196 and 273 cm in length), elements with one armrest in various lengths with and without a top - made of slender staves in Dark Brown stained Canaletto walnut or one piece in Dark Brown stained palisander Santos -, an armchair and a small ottoman.
Goodman
minotti > Sofa
A detail that becomes volume is the essence of Goodman, the modular seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni. The 1970s inspiration behind this design is the strong graphic character of those years, and its ability to stratify and cross marks, reducing the complexity into a few distinctive features. Thus, in Goodman the matelassé stitching, typical of Minotti's tailoring processes, draws shadows and light on the seat, creating the sensation of a quilted cross-padding. Compactness and softness come together in the same concept, making it suitable for environments that inspire extreme relaxation and spaces conceived for a more formal use. The more traditional linear configurations are joined by more dynamic compositions with curved and tilted elements, the latter characterised by pronounced angles with widths of 30, 75 and 90 degrees. Unexpected rounded shapes that also give a sinuous aesthetic to the compositions created along with the linear modules, for a brand new way of furnishing the living space. A flexible, ever-evolving system, inspired by the most diverse human needs and tastes, as well as the constant transformations of contemporary living. The volume of the one-piece seat is particularly ergonomic and comfortable thanks to the innovative technology used: the system of pocket springs is combined with a layer of polyurethane padding in layered densities to give a consistent sensation of softness and cosiness. Goodman is lifted off the floor by refined Bronze or Polished Chrome metal feet set back from the edge, combined with a frame in the same finishes. A contoured tray covered in saddle-hide clings perfectly to the volume of the armrest just like a saddle, also making the seating system fully versatile, since the cushioning can be turned into a functional coffee table, always at hand.
Lars
minotti > Sofa
A Danish name for a line with a clearly Japanese-inspired design: this contradiction brings to life the harmonious shapes of the Lars sofa, designed by Japanese-Scandinavian duo Inoda+Sveje. A soft, asymmetrical, continuous, organic curve resting on five slender legs in solid ash wood with an open-pore Licorice stained lacquer or in Canaletto walnut with a Light Brown stain. The architecture of this object, raised off the ground, rises above the seat to support and frame the backrest, lending an aerial elegance to this sofa proposed by Minotti for both residential and hospitality projects. The solid wood frame is enhanced by details that embellish the joints and highlight the complex cabinet-making process behind its apparently simple lines. The balance between the vertical wooden profiles and the softness of the edgeless forms, characterised by a seat upholstered in high-density polyurethane, translate the synthesis between Danish design and Zen harmony. The frame and cushions have fully removable covers in both fabric and leather versions.
Lido
minotti > Sofa
The welcoming nest shape of the Lido family of seats by Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi is the hallmark of its design. The curved silhouette that outlines the body on which the padding of the seat sits now also comes in a two-seater sofa version: a compact furnishing piece, ideal for both home and Hospitality spaces. The design, inspired by the 1950s, recalls the typical stylistic marks of Brutalist architectures, here softened by the masterful use of textured fabrics and comfortable, ergonomic cushions. The volume of the sofa is raised from the ground by four solid wood legs, in Moka-coloured open-pore ash or Canaletto walnut with a Dark Brown stained veneer. Alternatively, it can rest on the iconic X-shaped aluminium base with Moka-coloured open-pore ash finish, imbuing this object with timeless beauty and making it easy to pair with the other furnishing pieces in the collection. The base and legs are enhanced by an interesting decorative insert in Bronze-coloured varnished steel at the top of the legs. The two-seater sofa completes the Lido family, which includes armchairs, ottomans, lounge armchair and dining little armchair - only with legs in solid wood - and coffee tables that sit on the iconic X-shaped base, with round or square top in Bianconero marble or ash wood with a Moka open-pore lacquered finish.
Blazer
minotti > Sofa
A virtuous combination of its design appeal, visible in the rigorous geometry of its volumes, and the haute couture approach exemplified by its precise, meticulous sartorial craftsmanship, Blazer is one of the creations that best expresses the most authentic artisanal attitude of Minotti. All the surfaces of the elements feature stitching, designing evenly-spaced bands on the covering of the base, cushions, armrests and backrest, and creating a quilting effect that identifies its look and instantly provides a sensation of comfort. The system includes seats with a depth of 108 cm and chaise-longue elements with a depth of 143 cm - with high and low backrests and armrests. The system is complemented by a series of cushions in different sizes and headrests, which can be freely positioned, decorating the seats and offering maximum comfort. The wide range, comprising sofas with strong character as well as modular elements, allows for the creation of original configurations, freely customisable thanks to the extensive choice of elements and exclusive coverings available. The compositions can be mixed and matched with the complements of the 2020 Collection - coffee tables, console tables, benches and armchairs - that pleasantly interrupt the symmetry and contribute to designing living areas with a bold personality. Blazer expresses a brand new style, mixing the high sartorial matelassé effect crafting technique, which qualifies it as an exclusive, sophisticated product, distinguishable due its exceptional quality, with a contemporary look characterised by clean, minimal lines. The key feature of the design is the backrest with rounded internal corners, which creates a comfortable, enveloping niche, transforming the chaise-longue element with high backrest and armrest into a particularly welcoming alcove.
Mattia
minotti > Sofa
Mattia is inspired by the reinterpretation of a creative sign from the early Seventies, offering a modern take on a design from the Minotti archive. The finely contoured shell accommodates the seat, opening up like a corolla to host the original roller feature of the backrest. Formal solutions reminiscent of sculptures and the balance between the rigid structure and the suspended volume give life to seats with a soft, enveloping look. The family comprises a three-seater sofa, an armchair and swivel lounge armchair, available with leather shell and fabric upholstered seat and backrest, or with total fabric or leather covering. Conceived as precious details to streamline and lighten the design, the steel feet jetting out from underneath sport a Black-Nickel finish. The swivel base of the lounge armchair is available in the same finish. The Mattia coffee tables, characterised by clean lines and by the same protruding steel feet that distinguish the seats, reinterpret in a contemporary way volumes and design sign of the early Seventies. A series of round, rectangular and square coffee tables in different sizes and heights, available in three versions: with top in Calacatta marble or Black pâte de verre - inserted in a frame in brushed ash wood featuring a Liquorice colour lacquered finish - or entirely in brushed ash wood with Liquorice colour lacquered finish. The coffee tables sit on steel legs with a Black-Nickel finish.
