Starck's exploration of lighting also extends to that most romantic of sources, the candle, with its warm, gentle glow. GOODNIGHT revisits the candle in its primordial form and transforms it into a highly technological object. The lamp is available in a wall-mounted and battery-powered version, with surprising performance in terms of duration and three different light intensities for impressive performance. It is ideal for the contract sector and can create exactly the right atmosphere in restaurants.

BILIA MINI

Nothing more than a sphere, set in an apparently impossible feat of balance, upon a cone that serves as the base. One of Gio Ponti’s many compositional magic tricks, designed in 1932. The counterbalancing of two elementary geometric forms results in an original, perfectly proportioned object. An unpretentious composition, enriched by the extraordinary balance of its proportions and the stylish discretion of non-reflective materials.The light is diffused and valorized by the geometrical simplicity of the design. In designing Bilia, Gio Ponti imagined a smaller version in a range of “spray colours”. From those handwritten notes of the original project, FontanaArte presents Bilia Mini in new breathtaking chromatic variations.

EQUATORE SMALL

Equatore is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic lamp with a glass shade. While the traditional abat-jour uses the shade to contain the light source within, in this family of lamps the shade is paradoxically and suggestively empty, with the light being generated by two luminous discs placed inside a central metal band, visible on the shade, that evokes the line of the equator. The light produced by the Leds, thanks to internal screens arranged in layers, is distributed regularly across the surface of the discs, magically illuminating them. The bottom disc directs the light output downward, the upper one illuminates the glass cap for a soft, diffused light. Available in table, floor and ceiling models, in two sizes and two colors: a cooler version in gray with a dark chrome frame, and a warmer version with a transparent dove gray cap and a copper-colored frame.

Constructed with a ceramic base paired together with a variety of lampshade sizes, Figoll achieves a visually striking multi-level effect. This stylish table lamp is offered in five distinct colors within a neutral and earthy palette, each adorned with a textured finish that adds character and dimension to the piece. Figoll's ceramic base is handmade in Portugal and the associated lampshades are also Swedish-made in Borås. The table lamp is therefore locally produced, which we at Calixter are very proud of.

Apex Desk Clip Lamp

Taking cues from the classic Bankers Light British designer John Tree merged archetypal references with his contemporary colourful sensibility to create the Apex Desk Clip Lamp. The folded steel shades create a peaked roofline silhouette providing the inspiration behind the lamps name as well as offering a graphic contrast to the chrome-plated bases. Featuring an adjustable clip that enables the lamp to be fixed to a wide variety of horizontal surfaces both the colourful shade and angled arm can rotate 360 degrees giving users optimal control to aim the light in any direction. The Apex Desk Clip Lamp offers a functional lighting solution for a multitude of spaces and uses from a task light on a desk to a reading lamp over a sofa.

The Clover array is a direct descendent of the Super Clover, a large geometric lighting form based upon extensive study of the opportunities presented by creating light sculptures within mathematical grid systems. Clover extracts specific elements from this study to create simple and small, usable lighting objects that easily find everyday use in the home. Michael Young through his collaboration with Lasvit, hopes to bring some of his artistic talent into personal residences.
