Domo Floor Joe Colombo, 1965
karakterCopenhagen > Floor lamp
The Domo lamp was originally designed by Italian designer Joe Colombo in 1965. Back then he designed three lamps based on the same core shape. Known for his democratic and functional design, his flexible and convertible furniture meant to be used in many different ways – all to the benefit of the user. Joe Colombo experi-mented with new materials and the latest technologies and designed futuristic “machines for living”, many of which have become icons for a new way of living. One of them is Domo. Colombo often rejected sharp corners and straight lines in favour of curvaceous forms.

First produced 2022 Natural Waxed Bamboo and Black Powder-Coated Steel. Opaline Borosilicate Glass Tube. Integrated LED 20W Lead time: 4 to 6 weeks “I have always been intrigued by bamboo as a material and by its ability to grow in an almost perfectly straight line. I am fascinated by the thought of using it in exactly the way it grows naturally by simply cutting it at the moment it reaches its required diameter. I love the idea that I could use it without any industrial processing, by simply defining a series of parameters to determine my selection and cutting process. The project is essentially an exercise of negotiation with nature.”
hat
tossb > Floor lamp
At first glance, the 'hat' appears to be a classic-style floor lamp but it is much more than that! The elegant one-piece base supports a supremely functional shade. Because of the original manner in which this shade is mounted, it can easily be swivelled into a new position, turning your 'downlighter' into an 'uplighter'. Both the shade and the base are offered in two different colours, which can be freely combined with each other.

Strong, but light visual presence in the roomTwo powerful LEDs can be switched to function as a direct or indirect spotlight, or both. The lamp body, which appears to float in the air, is connected to the base by two thin, coloured power cables. In addition to conducting electricity, these cables also support the entire structure and are the key element of the design. The positioning of the LED light sources was designed in such a way as to avoid glare both when the LEDs are facing downwards and upwards. Many of DIA's components perform two functions at the same time: the cables conduct electricity and make the structure stable, while the glass tube holds the LED in place, letting the light pass through. Two powerful LEDs can be switched to function as a direct or indirect spotlight or both. The lamp body, which seems to float in the air, is connected to the base by two thin coloured power cables. Structure made of glass and painted aluminium. Plug-in driver.
Maija
santacole > Floor lamp
Maija conveys the feeling of light typical of Baltic cities, where the streets are barely illuminated, apart from the light that streams from the windows of homes and shops; from the inside outwards. A tower composed of stacked metal discs through which its inner light filters, vibrant and inviting conversation.
VERTIGO
