An exciting collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa the Pao Floor Lamp is named after the soft glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents. By keeping the aesthetics modest and simple Fukasawa creates a beautiful everyday object that is in harmony with its environment. The Pao Floor Lamp comprises a weighted steel base and slim stand with the distinctive shade in steel with a high-gloss finish in different colours. Designed for using with two replaceable standard retro fit LED bulbs and featuring an onoff floor switch it provides a flexible output of light with a warm homely glow. The lamps functionality and deliberate simplicity of design makes it suitable for a wide range of spaces and uses in domestic and corporate environments.

Base and rod support in die-cast, polished and chrome-plated Zamak alloy. Rod, arm support, arm and diffuser support in polished aluminum tube. Molded steel counterweight with galvanized finish. Injection-molded PC (polycarbonate) inner diffuser opal color. Outer diffusers in transparent or fumèe PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) and silver or bronze on the inner surface, by vacuum aluminum coating. Injection-molded PC (polycarbonate) upper ring, completely transparent, or transparent brown for the outer bronze diffuser.

This collection of fixtures uses the standard unit of the light tube as a measure. Through the alternation of 1m and 0.5m modules, it creates a rhythmic language of recording space. The designs evolve as a parallel progression of rods, combining five variations of standard linear LED bulbs and metal tubes of the same diameter. With this series, Michael Anastassiades expands the compositional possibilities of some of the most structural elements of lighting, engaging the viewer in a rigorous yet playful exercise in measuring.

The distinguishing feature of Galerie is the diffuser, which is inspired by both aesthetically and functionally by the antique oil lamps of the Belle Époque. Hand-blown in four layers of glass, where the outer and the inner layers are of two different colors, it reads as white when turned off, then as amber once lit. It is also equipped with a leather strap that allows the fixture to be hung in different positions on the structure. In the floor version, the lamp is available for two uses: a reading lamp with one diffuser, to create the ideal atmosphere for reading, and a floor lamp with three diffusers positioned at different heights, for adjustable ambient lighting. The family also includes a wall version. The combination of materials (glass, leather, metal and marble), unprecedented in a lamp, makes the Galerie family particularly rich, and at the same time elegant and balanced. Galerie expresses the memory of days gone by in a contemporary key.
