Originally designed by Wim Rietveld during his tenure at Ahrend in the 1950s, this iconic collection has been revitalized through a collaboration between HAY and Ahrend. Celebrated for its innovative use of sheet steel, the collection set a new standard for organically shaped products upon its initial release. Today, the Pyramid Benches are admired for their minimal material usage, straightforward construction, and lightweight design, making them easy to reposition. These enduring designs showcase both functional excellence and aesthetic elegance, proven over generations in various real-world settings. The bench features a steel sheet base paired with a rectangular oak top, maintaining the collection's functional and uncluttered aesthetic. Its lightweight, stackable design and durability make it ideal for educational institutions and corporate environments. Available in multiple wood finishes and base colors, it can serve as a low side table or a bench. The benchtop is made of 21 mm solid oak with a straight edge, while the base consists of two leg sections in 2 mm bent cutout sheet steel and a pre-mounted support bar (steel tube and 2 mm bent steel) underneath the benchtop. The bench is offered in four benchtop finishes: clear lacquered solid oak, matt lacquered solid oak, smoked oiled solid oak, and oiled solid oak, and three base finishes: black powder-coated steel (RAL 9005), beige powder-coated steel (NCS S 3502 – Y), and tomato red powder-coated steel (RAL 3013). Its legs are cut into half-circles and joined with the table for a light expression while the slender overhang at both ends of the table makes for a refined expression. These naturally composed tables complement the collection's choice of seats and create a sustainable living area in which wood plays a central role thanks to its lightweight properties. These large items of furniture feature top-quality materials and advanced manufacturing technology. The square and rectangular versions with four legs come in five sizes (100x100, 145x80, 160x90, 190x90 and 240x100) and three top finishes: light ash with two darker shades, flamed walnut and a third, characterised by thin strips of different tones of dark wood. BM1160 Hunting Table

At 90 x 138 cm, the CH006 is a longer version of the CH002 dining table, designed in 1982. The table, with solid extension frames and built-in grip for the two hinged extension leaves with rounded edges, illustrates Hans J. Wegner’s visionary approach to functional design.
