BALL CLOCK - Wooden and metal wall clock _ Vitra - 2d files - 3d files
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The George Nelson Wall Clocks, originally designed in 1947, revolutionized timekeeping by eliminating numbers and focusing on the relative position of the hands, transforming clocks into decorative interior elements. Launched in 1949, the first collection featured 14 unique designs, characterized by diverse shapes, colors, and materials, all unified by their minimalist aesthetic. Over the next 35 years, Nelson Associates created over 100 clock models, including wall, table, and built-in clocks. After George Nelson's passing in 1986, the Vitra Design Museum acquired his extensive archive, and in 1999, Vitra began reissuing these iconic clocks, periodically expanding the collection. Crafted from various woods and metals, these clocks are powered by high-quality quartz movements and include a 1.5-volt battery, offering a blend of timeless design and modern functionality. A 3D file of the product is available for download, allowing for a closer look at its intricate design. Vitra, a Swiss family-owned company founded in 1950, is renowned for its innovative and iconic furniture, lighting, and accessories, collaborating with legendary designers like Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson to create versatile, durable, and aesthetically pleasing pieces for homes, offices, and public spaces.
