PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The In Vitro outdoor lighting collection, designed by Philippe Starck for FLOS, is a sophisticated ground-installed lighting device featuring an opalescent diffuser integrated into the head and a protective outer layer of transparent borosilicate glass. Crafted from die-cast and extruded aluminum treated with a chemical conversion process for weather resistance, the body is powder-coated in a variety of finishes. The fixture incorporates an integrated LED light source with Edge Lighting technology, ensuring uniform illumination, and is available in a portable version with a handle for easy transport. It includes a dimmer driver (5/100-240 V/50-60 Hz) with an optical touch sensor on the head, allowing brightness adjustment in four steps: 100%, 50%, 3%, and OFF. Rechargeable via a 120 cm micro USB-C cable, it offers up to 6 hours of continuous lighting and comes with an IP20 charger featuring interchangeable EUR, UK, and USA plugs. The 2.5W LED light source delivers 182lm/195lm (2700K/3000K, CRI 90) and is dimmable, with a battery life of 6-24 hours. The 3D file of the product is available for download, making it easier for designers and architects to integrate it into their projects.
