A French term derived from silk with a rippled or “watered” appearance, moiré is an optical effect that results in the illusion of waves or the movement of water. This effect is achieved by having an opaque, ruled pattern overlaid over another. Designer Christian Lava’s studies of this effect have led to his latest design aptly titled, Moiré. Using overlapping grids of metal, this LED pendant light dynamically changes shape following the viewer’s gaze, practically coming to life with a vibrating energy. In Greek mythology, Gaia is the personification of the Earth and the mother of all life. Looking to capture the mythical and natural beauty of this Earth goddess, designer Jean-François Crochet has created the Gaia pendant light. Consisting of geometric frames of brass or raw metal reminiscent of the mountains Gaia created, the pendant uses led light to push light through the “cracks” formed. The resulting light creates a magical feeling, as if the lights peaking through were alive themselves. I Lucci Argentati draws from nature to create a whimsical, yet modern light. Recalling a school of fish darting through freshwater, it creates a mesmerizing luminescence. For his work for Terzani, Nigel Coates, well known for his unorthodox approach to design, has created an engaging, unique light. Customizable groups of hand made crystal "angels” are illuminated by halogen or led lamps. What caused these angels to fall from the heavens? It’s up to the viewers to decide. Either way, Angel Falls is sure to garner attention, and generate conversation, in any setting. Design Nigel Coates. Made in Italy.

At Terzani, we spend countless days searching the globe for talented new designers, but sometimes they find us. Such is the case with the young designers Luca Martorano and Mattia Albicini (Draw studio) who approached us with the design for Calle, a fantastic new light we instantly fell in love with. It howcases our skill at crafting crystal to take the material to an exciting, modern place. Luca and Mattia worked with our raftsmen to create a slender inverted flute of crystal that, like the calla lily it mimics, can be grouped into stunning bouquets of light. Design Draw. Inspired by shapes of traditional table lamps, the Ease Portable Lamp transforms this typology into a carriable size suitable to take wherever. Bourgie unites classicism, wealth and tradition with technological innovation. The baroque-style base consists of three decorated elements that interlock, while the large shade is created with a pleated effect which creates a multitude of reflections when lit. Thanks to a special system used to hang the shade, three different heights can be obtained, altering them to suit personal preference, depending on the use to be made of the lamp: 68, 73 and 78 centimetres.

A family of lamps: suspended, for a coffee table and with a metal structure, and the most recent floor version of the lamp is available in two heights: 130 and 160 cm. The distinctive trait is the shape of the slightly elliptical transparent diffuser, which is characterised by a multi-faceted surface, both inside and out, which creates a rich tapestry of reflections.

Named after the famed and pioneering French author known simply as ‘Colette’, &Tradition’s new table lamp has an avant-garde aesthetic. Showcasing a tactile shade and base, this dimmable lamp is elegant, fresh and playful.

Table lamp with adjustable head. Integrated LED bulb and cut-off providing direct lighting . Body made of a special pigmented polycarbonate deriving from a by-product of paper production rather than from petroleum. Adjustability through steel sphere treated with protective layer deposited in PVD. Useful length of the cable 2 mt. The cable can be adjusted and locked in place through a special slit in the base of the lamp. The product has been designed according to the ISCC standards and it is assembled with total absence of glued components so that it can be completely separated for future recyclability.

Table lamp providing diffused light. White powder coated internal steel structure sprayed with a unique "cocoon" resin to create the diffuser which is then protected by a transparent sprayed on finish. On the cable there is the electronic  dimmer which allows the regulation of light brightness.
