PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Comparable to a landscape design project, where carefully plotted combinations of elements create a new domestic scenery, the Daniels seating system redesigns the living areas with brand new compositions, in which regular curves and ellipses interrupt the linearity of the layouts, imbuing them with a more dynamic momentum. Innovative and truly original, it is at its most striking when paired with the Amber low units, creating solutions with a strong visual impact that pass seamlessly from the soft feel of the seats to the harder feel of the containers and from more geometric shapes to an extraordinary combination of curves. The chairs are designed based on the concepts of full modularity and maximum comfort, and feature a single cushion. The vast design system also includes decisively large chaise-longue couches with curved seating areas. The frame of the back, and the combination of two different depths produces an effect in which the backrests appear to overlap, creating movement at the back which dispels the perception of the sofa as a continuous screen when set in the centre of the room, as well as making it possible to add the Clive console, which further accentuates its motion. Instead, the “offset” version, where the backrest juts out from the side of the seat, easily accommodates the Amber ottoman or low unit, creating a different compositional solution. The system offers an alternative to the fixed armrest, in the form of a removable ottoman, in leather or fabric, on wheels. Its natural position is alongside the sofa, attached using magnets, but it can be moved and used as an additional chair or surface, or, if positioned opposite the seat, as a natural extension of the same. The ottomans can also be attached to the end of the Amber low units. Daniels is available in two versions: all-fabric or all-leather, and in a third combined option with base and armrest in leather and cushion in fabric, flaunting a harmonious mix of the textures and colours of the exclusive Minotti textile collection. With its design-based, modular, versatile and innovative qualities, Daniels introduces original and unexpected structural details and compositional elements with a dynamic, contemporary rhythm.

The rug is made from braids joined up using a high resistance yarn, forming a solid textile mesh effect. The typical spiral weave style recalls that of the Jersey fabric and its structure ensures excellent performances in terms of stability and durability. A re-edition of an indoor side table of 1998, Duchamp "Outdoor" recalls the structure and the mono-material surface of the original concept. With its sculptural look and frame in solid wood inspired by Brutalist architecture, Block Outdoor stands out for its big personality. Structured in the form of a block of solid wood, the base of the Outdoor version of the Block coffee table retains its solid volume in the shape of an “L” or an upside-down “T”, but it is proposed in natural teak. The top, with smooth edges resembling a river pebble, and tactile finish, is available in Pietra del Cardoso or with a plastic look in White glossy lacquer plastic finish. In Fynn, Scandinavian values meet Italian tradition. A contemporary design for outdoor spaces in teak wood, crafted with fine cabinet-making workmanship. With a completely innovative approach, the fine cabinet-making process used for the manufacturing of outdoor wooden furniture is applied to a family of outdoor furnishing pieces in solid teak, combining sophisticated workmanship with an ultra-contemporary design. Characterised by an interwoven frame that hosts soft seat and backrest cushions, Fynn has in the armrest its signature element. Elongated and slightly curved, rounded and smooth to the touch, it is completely handmade: its precise, well-defined line identifies the entire family, composed of armchair, lounge and dining little armchairs, benches, footstools, coffee tables in different sizes and a dining table. Real one-off pieces due to the oxidation process they undergo, which makes each one different from the others, the Pilotis Outdoor coffee tables are conceived as solid volumes of pure geometry. Their name refers to one of the distinctive architectural elements of Rationalism, and indicates the slender columns on which the airy volumes of the Rationalist buildings would lie. Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and made in Corten or Cobalt Blue colour varnished stainless steel, the coffee table is available in two different heights, both with the same 27 cm diameter. Stony

Both the new elements stand on four legs characteristic of the Lido family aesthetic, in solid teak wood or mahogany with a Dark Brown stained veneer, enriched by unique steel inserts with a Bronze-coloured varnish at the top. The design, which perfectly expresses the vision of Minotti, capable of interpreting indoor and outdoor spaces with the same strong coherence, is produced using clever, advanced technology and materials conceived specifically for open air environments. The frame of the backrest is in stainless steel with a Bronze-coloured varnish and covered in polypropylene cords in shades that can vary from the more neutral and traditional tones of Dark Brown and Sand to brighter ones also inspired by nature and the chromatic development of the entire collection, Citron, Blue and Petroleum. Colours related to images of faraway landscapes that bring freshness and character to this family of outdoor furnishing pieces with an enveloping look inspired by the 1950s. An evocative name for the Isole family of lava stone coffee tables with irregular shapes, just like small islands in the sea. Available in four sizes, they are characterised by the combination of lava material and glass in four different shades which, like an expanding stain, colours the surface of the top three-dimensionally, leaving the tangible materiality of the stone on the edges. Claydon Outdoor maintains the purity of its design and its unmistakable class, enhancing its practical aspects through the choice of a material like the made-for-exterior version of Corian®, whose properties of strength and durability are well known. The base of the table is a complex shape characterized by continuous, eye-catching changes in width. The peculiarity that makes Van Dyck a timeless object is the support structure. It is characterized by a sculptural base, consisting of three 10 cm diameter stainless steel tubes welded together and painted with polyester powder for outdoor use in the Clay, Sunflower, Rust and Khaki Green colours. Enriching the colour range of the outdoor version of the iconic table, the two "orange peel" finishes in White and in glossy Pewter colour. The structure is completed by a round top in Cardoso stone or Beola Argentata. A piece of furniture with a strong personality, that can be combined with different seats, capable of giving a unique character to open-air contexts.

Quadrado "Table"

Rationalist, minimal, designed by combining different materials and textures that enhance its linear shapes, the table features the element that characterises the Quadrado family on its top: a duckboard pattern. Teak duckboard, used in the yachting industry to facilitate the outflow of water, was introduced in 2018 as a modular element of the structured Quadrado seating system created by the Brazilian designer. The table comes in three dimensions, and features a top set on aluminium legs, designed as two panels that cross it on the short side. It sports a striking Lava Stone Powder finish, generating an interesting contrast between the surfaces and the Teak wood of the top. A number of plug-in accessories, such as the candle-holder and the Lava Stone tray, mean the table can be set to match the occasion. The Quadrado table can be used in different arrangements, perhaps forming part of a domino sequence or designing a frame round the trunk of a tree, as suggested by Marcio Kogan, as always in pursuit of an ideal relationship between his designs and the nature surrounding them.

Of Scandinavian inspiration, the Fynn Outdoor table is in 100% natural solid teak, crafted with artisanal savoir-faire. The design of the Fynn Outdoor dining table spontaneously originates from the design of the chairs and armchairs, for an outdoor space in harmony with the seats. Smooth, soft to the touch, with no rough edges, the structural and lateral parts of the table reiterate the elongated and slightly curved design of the wooden armrest, which characterises the family of seats. The rectangular top, made of wooden staves, is available in two sizes. With an extremely lightweight look, emphasised by its simple structure, Fynn Outdoor is a table that becomes the protagonist of any outdoor dining space.

Of exceptional architectural appeal, and designed for outdoor living spaces, the Terrace table has a strong contemporary vibe, and a frame of slightly retro inspiration. It associates shapes from the past, in the design of the legs, with current day technology, used to create the cast aluminium frame. A table that expresses all the force of an architectural element, available in four sizes, three rectangular and one round, making it suitable for use in different spaces, from city verandas to larger garden settings. The 2021 version of Terrace presents the rectangular top in solid teak with a natural finish, and frame and legs varnished in White. The new entry complements the original version, sporting a top in stone-look ceramic, and available in two different shades: Stone Brown and Marble Grey. The frame and legs are varnished in Pewter colour to match the Stone Brown top, or White to match the Marble Grey top.

Aston is a family of individual pieces, including a sofa, a daybed, armchairs, footstool, chairs and stool in two heights – 101 cm and 114 cm – custom-designed to furnish homes and “public spaces” with style and elegance, allowing the conversation to continue between indoors and outdoors. The Aston “Cord” Outdoor collection comes with a pewter colour polyester-painted stainless steel frame specially treated for exterior use, as are the padded cushions, which are covered in waterproof fabric. The seat back is in a special braided 7 mm diameter polypropylene cord, available in the following colour variations: Light Gray, Dark Brown, Sand, Sunflower, Khaki Green and Rust, a perfect match for the fabrics in the Art Lifescape 02 textile collection and the shade of Alison “dark brown” outdoor. The painted stainless steel frame is finished with a special polyester paint for exterior use in Pewter colour and the seat back is in a special braided polypropylene cord, available in two colour variations: light grey and dark brown. The seats feature an exclusive Minotti Studio laser-cut geometric design. Inner padding of the cushions is in highly durable expanded polyurethane covered in water repellent fibre.

The Tape family of seats, which made its début in 2018, naturally evolves, incorporating items for the outdoor environment that maintain the undeniable elegance of the forms and concepts of the design, and add a few welcome variants that embrace the concept of outdoor living. The seats become deeper, larger and more relaxing, while the metal frame, in a new outdoor finish, is covered with the wicker-effect cords available in two colours: Mud and Liquorice. Here, the couture detail of Tape - the piece of ribbon that holds the feet on to the body - takes the form of a metal plate in Bronze colour, a finish that is the leitmotiv of all the outdoor seats of the 2019 Collection. The system offers many elements, ideal for creating relaxation areas also in small outdoor spaces or on urban rooftop terraces: from the armchair to the sofa, from the Paolina chaise longue to the original couch open at the back, from the chair to the coffee tables, up until the stool in two heights of 102 and 115 cm, in the collection from January 2020. The Daiki seats, born out of the Brazilian architect’s passion for Japanese culture, go outdoors, where the open-air space is conceived and experienced as an extension of the indoor living area: a veritable tribute to Japanese design culture. The Daiki family includes armchairs with a deep seat, available both with and without arms, a dining little armchair and a footstool. Created using sophisticated wood crafting techniques, the curved shell in solid teak comprises two elements joined at a 45° angle, with a sloping backrest that guarantees maximum comfort. In the outdoor version the shell offers a snug fit for the stitched cushions, and is set on a stainless-steel frame with Bronze-coloured varnished polished legs. A design that also explores and reinterprets the American Mid-Century atmospheres, injecting new life into the style of contemporary outdoor furnishing with its clean, bold lines, exquisite teak working technique and balanced proportions.

Torii Nest Outdoor "Dining"

Designed for indoor environments in 2020, Torii Nest migrates to open-air living spaces, in the armchair, lounge and dining little armchairs versions. With structural details linked to Japanese tradition, the seats play with round edged volumes, thin profiles and the apparent formal simplicity of an extremely intricate design. The varnished tubular stainless steel frame of the backrest is covered in woven cord in the shades Ecru and Dark Brown, sporting a design inspired by Vienna straw, but with a larger mesh. It sits on a base in natural teak or Dark Brown stained mahogany, supported by aluminium legs with a polished, Bronze-coloured, anti-touch finish. With its backrest in the shape of a perfect circle, and a sophisticated visual lightness that embraces the padded seat, Torii Nest Outdoor was conceived to meet various requirements, in terms of both functionality and ergonomics. The three types are available in the fixed and swivel without return versions, thanks to a tried and tested mechanism, a novelty for the outdoor environment.

The Lido family, by the GamFratesi studio, is a design that perfectly expresses Minotti’s will to create a single design for different indoor and outdoor environments: the technology and material that go into the pieces define their intended use. The Lido Cord Outdoor family is composes of a semi-curved lounge sofa, a linear two-seater sofa, an armchair, a dining little armchair and a lounge little armchair, with an enveloping design reminiscent of a comfy nest, also complemented by a bench and an ottoman. The frame of the backrest is in Bronze-coloured painted stainless steel, and it is covered with polypropylene cords in tones that can span from the more traditional shades of Sand, Dark Brown and Black, to brighter shades such as Citron, Dark Blue and Teal. All colours - with the exception of Black, which gives the piece character and a strong identity- related to images of faraway landscapes that bring freshness to this family of outdoor furnishing pieces with a look inspired by the 1950s. The semi-curved lounge sofa, in particular, is characterised by a Bronze varnished aluminium base with polished anti-touch finish, the ultimate distinguishing mark of its bold sculptural look: on one hand it offers a formal seat, on the other its depth is extended, becoming a bergère, with backrest in the shape of a soft nest. The Yoko seat evolves to become the Yoko Cord Outdoor project by Japanese-Scandinavian duo Inoda+Sveje, composed of an armchair, dining little armchair, bench footstool - with and without upholstery - and coffee table with top in Basaltina stone, all with a natural teak frame. The seat and backrest are strung with Ecru or Dark Brown polyester cord on which the soft cushions, upholstered with fabrics from the 2022 Textile Outdoor Collection, rest. The seat and the top of the bench footstool are strung with a balanced weave that gives the natural allure of handcrafted workmanship in line with the classic principles of stringing; a special teak frog feature has been applied in continuity with the finish of the frame to better secure the cushions to the seat and the backrest. A Bronze detail adorns the wooden frame of these furnishing pieces, embellishing them yet maintaining their silent elegance intact: it is a particular joint, located between the frame and the rear vertical legs whose coupling is enhanced by a varnished Bronze colour button.

The enveloping and comfortable body of the Belt seats designed for indoor use in 2021 also shapes the outdoor version. The band which, in the original design, outlines the silhouette of the volume recalling the shape of a belt, in its outdoor version becomes a corded contour in the colours Sand and Dark Brown, covering the polished Bronze steel frame. The seats rest on a matt varnished aluminium base, in the shades of Ecru and Dark Brown, reiterating the colours of the cord, and feature padded cushions with extra-durable polyurethane foam inserts, covered in water-repellent fibre and fabric. The Belt Cord Outdoor family is composed of a two-seater sofa, bergère, armchair, footstool, lounge armchair and dining little armchair, all also available with natural finish teak legs. With a more classic feel and a warmer aesthetic, this version can be easily combined with all the other furnishing pieces in the outdoor collection.

Having explored the use of woods, such as iroko and teak, with Patio, designed by Italian-Danish studio GamFratesi, Minotti proposes an unexpected mix of different materials: aluminium, wood, stone, cord. The outdoor seating system, with its highly versatile modularity, is conceived as a dynamic mosaic, composed of tesserae in simple geometric shapes, which can be pieced together as desired, and reconfigured to suit the available space and the mood to be created. The design of the sofa base structure enables the back elements to be arranged in various set positions all along the perimeter, to design conversation, relaxation, and vis-à-vis areas, spacing out the seats with coffee tables, and complementing them with ottomans and benches. A solution capable of meeting the requirements of both small metropolitan terraces, and extensive outdoor spaces, thanks to the two depths: 83 and 98 cm. The variety of potential compositions becomes even more interesting when the selected materials are masterfully combined: the extruded aluminium base with matt finish in the shades of Ecru and Dark Brown is accompanied by steel backrests, covered in woven polypropylene cord in the same shades, according to a Scandinavian-type geometric design. Some of the seating elements feature a handy tray in Dark Brown stained solid mahogany or in natural teak, with grooves for draining water, attached to the structure. Patio offers an interesting range of furnishing accessories, from coffee tables with top in brushed fine-grain Basaltina stone, benches, and square and rectangular ottomans with extruded aluminium base, in a creative mix of materic textures and sophisticated, natural colours. The system offers a rich variety of sofas in different measurements and configurations, in addition to central and end units, armchairs, loveseat, sunbeds and double daybeds. The welcoming nest shape of the Lido family of seats by Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi is the hallmark of its design. The curved silhouette that outlines the body on which the padding of the seat sits now also comes in a two-seater sofa version: a compact furnishing piece, ideal for both home and Hospitality spaces. The design, inspired by the 1950s, recalls the typical stylistic marks of Brutalist architectures, here softened by the masterful use of textured fabrics and comfortable, ergonomic cushions. The volume of the sofa is raised from the ground by four solid wood legs, in Moka-coloured open-pore ash or Canaletto walnut with a Dark Brown stained veneer. Alternatively, it can rest on the iconic X-shaped aluminium base with Moka-coloured open-pore ash finish, imbuing this object with timeless beauty and making it easy to pair with the other furnishing pieces in the collection. The base and legs are enhanced by an interesting decorative insert in Bronze-coloured varnished steel at the top of the legs. The two-seater sofa completes the Lido family, which includes armchairs, ottomans, lounge armchair and dining little armchair - only with legs in solid wood - and coffee tables that sit on the iconic X-shaped base, with round or square top in Bianconero marble or ash wood with a Moka open-pore lacquered finish.

Miniatures MR 90 Barcelona

Mies van der Rohe designed the German pavilion and corresponding furniture for the 1929 world's fair in Barcelona. Among other things, his pavilion served as the setting for the inaugural ceremony led by the Spanish royal couple, Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia. While Mies van der Rohe implemented his ideas of avant garde steel and glass architecture for the building design, he drew his inspiration for the furniture from historic models. Mies van der Rohe took as his starting point the ancient, scissors-shaped collapsible folding chair, already a symbol of power among Egyptian rulers. In keeping with the occasion, he adopted the representative qualities of the scissors chair, although he does without the folding function and interprets it afresh. In order to match the overall impression of luxury in the pavilion, Mies van der Rohe chose not to use wood like the historic models, but instead employed chrome-plated steel strip and leather upholstery with button stitching. The pavilion was torn down after the fair. However, along with the furniture, it was retrospectively acknowledged as a showcase for the »International Style« that had taken hold throughout the world. The Barcelona pavilion was reconstructed and rebuilt in 1986.

In his designs, Alvar Aalto combined Scandinavian craft traditions and his own affinity to nature with the functional ideas of the Bauhaus. This led to an exchange of ideas with Marcel Breuer, which later influenced the work of both men. Armchair No. 42 was presented for the first time at an exhibition held in conjunction with the Nordic Building Forum in 1932. With a simple three-part construction, the design ensures a high degree of comfort: the cantilever base flexes in response to the user’s weight and the plywood seat shell follows the contours of the body. In recognition of its pleasant tactile qualities and favourable insulating properties, Aalto executed the chair in natural birchwood with a black or white lacquer finish for the seat shell.

In this collection, Nature becomes an active component of design, mixing a palette of surfaces with warm hues that take their inspiration from the world of marbles and the material of wood, with clean, minimalist veining and an array of colors. The upshot is the attainment of elegant spaces that flow between interior and exterior, enhancing the presence of light so as to bestow a sensation of immersion in the natural environment at all times. The marble surfaces in the collection bring a new perspective to some of the most enchanting landscapes and natural binomials to be found on earth. COLORS AND DECORS The verdant backdrop of Rainforest is redolent of the vegetation of tropical woods, with thin brown veins that evoke the bark of a tree. Glacier conjures up the whiteness of glaciers with delicate crests of light and dark gray. Mountain Peak is inspired by the varied appearance and warm colors of mountain ranges in the summertime. Tundra recalls the alternation of earth, shrubbery and snowfall that characterizes the homonymous Arctic polar environmental system. And lastly, Riverbed is reminiscent of a gravelly river bottom with its multiplicity of stones smoothed by the flowing water. The Planks 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and 06 surfaces are the most combinable elements in the collection. Conceived as a color palette of woods with a clean, minimalist style, the Planks can generate different mood boards depending on the marble-effect surfaces with which they are juxtaposed, taking up the nuances of the veneers and affording the designer the option of personalizing both the interior spaces and the exterior shells of the buildings in accordance with his or her own creative taste. The range of backgrounds is enriched by five 6 mm thick fine porcelain stoneware decors that combine the colors of different wood-inspired surfaces. Hexagon offers a combination of 3 six-sided polygons, each of which in turn is divided into two different shades of wood. The composition is designed in two versions, the first combining the warm hues of Planks 01, 02 and 03, the second blending the cooler colors of Planks 04, 05 and 06. French Herringbone immediately recalls the classic laying pattern for parquet flooring, in this case reformulated as an embellishment that alternates small slats in two colorings. The composition is available in two versions, one of which combines the amber shades of Planks 01 and 02, the other of which unites the gray tones of Planks 05 and 06. Stripes offers an alternation of small strips in two colors. In this case, too, the range grants the designer the option of choosing between two variants, one that juxtaposes Planks 01 and 02, and one that combines Planks 05 and 06. Strip consists of a plank with thin and elongated lines available in all the colors in the collection. Finally, Chevron recalls the homonymous pattern of timeless charm. Here again the decor is offered in all 6 wood-effect colors of the collection.

Clara is a very nice sculptural sofa that happens to be a very nice sofa bed as well. The design is clean and lean but still has an element of something quite edgy thanks to the curvy backrest. Multifunctional, flexible and classy all at once.
